So what? Why is a 7 game cherry pick meaningful? Look at the whole season and the difference is massive. I'm not even going to continue this.

Never claimed it was. In fact, pointing it out was my way of showing how ridiculous the originally suggested idea of Kakko being a PPG player now over 12-15 games was. But do go on. I had no intention of interacting with you on it anyway, so have a great day!

Do you think the Rangers try to upgrade at LD? Maybe replace Lindgren with a different kind of player to run with Fox. Like Dumoulin?

I've heard Lindgren to Winnipeg rumours, he might be a guy who the Jets would have interest in if he can still kill penalties, but he'd be a 3rd pairing d-man here.

Also notice they moved Mika up to the top line with Panarin and Miller, does that leave the Rangers looking for a secondary center now?

What I'd like to see is a larger and more physical partner for Fox---someone between say 23 and 28 who is at least a capable top 4 defenseman.

It's early days with JT back here. The Rangers coaching staff has bent over backwards trying to get Mika going. Personally I think he's a player on the decline and there's a bit of denial going on with the Rangers coaches. Not to get me wrong I think JT makes us a better team but I also think the Rangers will probably fall short of making the playoffs this year and Mika and Kreider's games falling off the cliff will be a big part of the why. If that happens Drury and Laviolette might not be around next year but we'll see. Mika is no longer a first line quality player. I think most Rangers fans look at him that way too.

traded the wrong guy in my opinion. As an oil fan I’m happy Canuck’s fumbled and are committing to petersson. Good job rangers exactly what you needed. Exactly what a lot of teams need god did I hate playing against miller last year in playoffs.

Made for next season? Miller will be 33 next season. The Rangers traded their first (imported in 2026 if they are bottom 13 this year, which they are looking to be) for an aging guy who is on the decline. Not too sure this was a smart move for a club with an already aging and declining core.
Still getting a top line producing center for basically peanuts.
Mancinni should be a good middle pair D and the 1st is top 13 protected….
Doubt the rangers are this bad again next season btw.
Cap taking a big jump and NYR has exactly 5 impact players 30 yrs old or older.
Laf and cuylle are bright young talents. Perrault on the way…
Berard/Edstrom etc…… overall the foundation is a mid twenties team….
Panarins production will be the hardest to replace… Kreider may be dealt by next season. Trochek and Zibby more the. Likely are both staying( different reasons).
But they will be here to start next season….
Bottom line is Miller is worth his contract for what he produces. If NYR gets 3 productive years out of him where he’s a 85-100pt C that’s a home run……
With cap going up in a big way, and Lindgren - probably Kreider and Kandre miller being dealt too the rangers are going to add a massive talent in FA as well.
They likely also get some nice assets in return for Kreider and miller.
They will not sign panarin.

NYR has been near top of the East the last 4-5 years….
They are no doubt having a down/bad season.
I don’t expect that to occur next year. Too many things have gone wrong this season for them. There is also a shift among team leadership that is happening/will happen to start next season.

They have a lot of what teams need to be successful and their young guys are all playoff battle tested for a few seasons now.
Mark my words, next season is where you see this trades true impact

By the way JT = Johnathan Taylor

Because Drury is an incompetent asshole, who is not fit for his job and knows it, so he's sabotaging the future of this team in an effort to win now when this team clearly isn't a contender.

JT Miller was his Hail Mary and it was stupid because this team is not a JT Miller away from contending.

But why should Drury care? If Dolan gave two shits, Drury would've been fired already.
@The Crypto Guy does this post do a good job of painting the picture ?

You act like it was a sure thing miller wanted to stay a Canuck

Chytil's speed & elusiveness really adds alot. The Canucks forward group has been too slow most nights. Getting OConnor really helps in that area too.

The trade with the Penguins was big, getting M.Pettersson + the emergence of rookie D-Petey... suddenly the D looks night/day better.

Still got Willander coming this year & Mancini to get a look at aswell.

The Rangers aren't even good and just committed a massive amount of CAP to a player that will start to decline over the next couple years.

Anointing this as some sort of homerun deal for the Rags when they might not even make the playoffs is certainly a take.

not most nights everynight regardless of opponents. before those additions sherwood/hoglander and sometimes debrusk brought that speed but wasnt enough. also makes the guys want to play faster. now they just need another top 6 forward center maybe right shot if they can find one and another rhd to balance the pairings.
