That's what was said about Miller originally

Chytil gets concussed if he uses a pillow that's too firm. Gotta stay in the lineup to progress your talents. I don't see that happening for Chytil given his overall lack of awareness on the ice, his injury track record, and various mystery illnesses/injuries that flare up seemingly at random that have prevented him from flying/practicing/playing. At least Miller can stay in a lineup for more than 3 weeks at a time.

It’s kind of funny how much people worship these pseudo macho tough guys in sports like Miller. He has never won shit. But because he hits and throws temper tantrums people act like he’s some sort of natural born leader and winner. He’s just as whiny as Pettersson, except Pettersson actually won a championship in a pro league before, and Miller hasn’t won anything except on a stacked USA WJC team. Not a coincidence he keeps getting traded despite being a PPG centre. Hes a cancer. And a loser.
Hard nose players are far far far more entertaining than the figure skating michigan trying types.

It has been said about a multitude of players, and it's usually right. Admittedly, I didn't think Miller had the upside that he did, and I was wrong. That doesn't mean I'm wrong about Chytil. He's a quality middle six center when healthy. However, it seems like he spends 65% of the year either injured, or trying to put his game back together coming back from an injury. If he were to suddenly stay healthy all year and play with quality linemates, then I suppose he might be able to lift his game up a notch, but I'd be surprised to see it.

I doubt Chytil will be in the league within two years, he already said next concussion he is going to retire. Getting an asset for him is fantastic. Remember he almost missed the entire season last year.

Didn't realize there was any "worshipping" going on. He might not be a great guy to get along with but the fact of the matter is he has been the Canucks best player for atleast 2 of the past 5 years and a top 2 player for them the last 5. 100 point centres aren't exactly easy to come by, and for all his faults, the guy can play hockey. You really just brought up EP as a winner? Lmao that dude is the biggest baby in the league making 11.7M. What does that make him? Not a loser?

Not the Swedish elite league championship. Hey everyone Marcus Messiersson coming through

Mancini is an interesting prospect from what I'm seeing.

Chytil is a big question mark but has talent & upside. Hopefully he can stay healthy & be the solution at 2C but we will see. Definitely not a sure thing.

Expecting to hear a lot more of this over the next few months.

Teams kicking themselves for not being in on the Miller deal.

He was had for so cheap.
At some point fans have to start understanding what it means to have a player controlling where he’s going to be traded, and what that means to the return. The Canucks got about as much as anyone could’ve expected.

When a player has a NMC, or even many times he can do it with an NTC, because of cap reasons, or even arbitration status, he’s controlling much more than fans seem to want to understand.

It’s not like teams are making offers and his team then approaches him with the ones they like and ask him if he’d waive??

The player tells the team where he’s willing to go, and it’s then up to the team to make a deal. In this case, to the NYR and ONLY the NYR. The only thing the Canucks had was the ability NOT to trade him. Same as the Sens with Debrincat.. So the Rangers then try coming to something the Canucks would accept.

That’s how this works. The Canucks problem was, the longer this would’ve dragged on, the less they were going to get. So they found a fair deal. The Rangers wanted him “This Much” and the Canucks were willing to accept “This Little.”

That’s how it works.

If trading Miller helps the team gets back on track and fixes the locker room then it's a move that had to be made.

But if the Canucks continue to flounder this trade is going to look pretty ugly.

trust me it will be us, we got bent over big time.

So I guess this is the right place to tell my comrades...

I told you...

Would have thought Miller would want to go to a playoff team.

I would've thought Colorado, but I think it was hard for Rutherford to get off the seat and let Allvin drive. I think Allvin might come to regret it if he doesn't push all his chips in now. He's all-in, whether he knows it or not.

I should've liked this. I'm dying. lol.

Evidently JT Bozo was more toxic than anticipated, but i still don't really understand where Vancouver are going with this. It's just...getting rid of a guy, just to get rid of him. And getting not very much of anything back for a PPG+ sort of player who is one of the few guys who has actually got under McDavey's skin and disrupted him head-to-head.
