What do you think his value will be? Maybe a third-round pick or a similar prospect in return?Yes.

Are you implying there’s a similar prospect to Vitali Kravtsov? What do you think his value will be? Maybe a third-round pick or a similar prospect in return?
In terms of age and contract. Are you implying there’s a similar prospect to Vitali Kravtsov?
If no one is offering better than a 3rd round pick, there's no incentive for the Rangers to trade him, and no chance that it will happen. A 2nd round pick probably isn't enough either. That might be fair value, but the Rangers have no reason to trade him for fair value either. He is under contract and can't play for anyone but the Rangers. It's like the Puljujarvi situation with Edmonton. Kravtsov has a chance to play and improve his value so that he either becomes a player for the Rangers, or he becomes a more valuable trade asset. Either way, it's in the Rangers' best interest to hold onto him unless some team offers a deal they can't refuse. What do you think his value will be? This is not a guy who then wants out. It's amazing how guys forced their way to playing for the Rangers (Fox , Vesey , Hayes etc) but this guy gets drafted there , plays well and than wants out. Hopefully he is traded soon , I want to see how he does elsewhere.
Not enuf.In terms of age and contract.

I have to say, you're the only guy on the planet that is a bigger fan of Kravtsov then me. He's my favorite prospect, i want him to succeed more then any other young player in the leagueYOUR 2022-23 CALDER TROPHY WINNER! THE CHOSEN ONE RETURNS! WE MAY HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED LAST NIGHT BUT THIS IS THE REAL PRIZE!

Actually, you're probably right, but i would like to be added somewhere to the list!bern yields the title, but requests honorable mention
no prob I'll take 3rd billing behind you and EJActually, you're probably right, but i would like to be added somewhere to the list!
Does that spell the end of Kakko?
Vatrano won't be back. We can't afford him. Even if we move one of Kreider/Panarin to the right side, there's still room for both Kakko and Kravtsov in the top 9.Certainly creates a bit of a logjam, hopefully they don't unload a good winger like last year.
At least Ranger fans have something to be excited about while they are golfing eh?
Perhaps not but who is going to be their second line center its their most glaring need right now and frankly has been for quite a while.Vatrano won't be back. We can't afford him. Even if we move one of Kreider/Panarin to the right side, there's still room for both Kakko and Kravtsov in the top 9.
Kakko isn't going anywhere.
Chytil was very good during the playoffs and he's still only 22 years old. I don't know if he'll be the 2C next year, but I wouldn't write him off either. There's a good chance that Copp is re-signed to be the 2C.Perhaps not but who is going to be their second line center its their most glaring need right now and frankly has been for quite a while.
Some have had hope for Chytil but he is a 22,23 point guy 4 years straight just the GP change but he doesn't seem to have the skillset to be a very good #2 center IMO.

disagree on ChytilFair enough I had this discussion with another poster who I respect and we disagreed on it a couple of years ago and he really hasn't made the strides to show that he can be a viable #2 center in the NHL.
I think he lacks the hockey IQ to be that #2 center, he is a big strong guy yet is still horrible in the dot and isn't a good distributor of the puck.
He is a UFA and there is only so much money to go around but I do wonder where he ends up.
Chytil doesn't distribute the puck well enough and is poor in the dot, not a good recipe going forward for a potential #2 center on a team with some SC aspirations.disagree on Chytil
helps if he has a sniper on W
not the case before recently
Vatrano yes but they should repurpose Lindy to do it

It's not necessarily a problem that has to be solved this summer. If they decide to try Chytil at 2C and it doesn't work out, they can always make a move during the season, even if it's not a long term solution.
It's not, but the Rangers essentially did it this year with Copp. We aren't looking for the biggest names because we can't afford them anyway. Danault would have been a great pickup, but we couldn't get it done last summer.See my other posts and trading for a #2 center in season isn't as easy as it sounds.

I think it's likely that we re-sign Copp anyway, but we'll see.
Kakko will get a standard bridge deal. Its not like he has any leverage. The problem with resigning Copp is that he is a UFA and he might get long term and more cash than the NYR really want to pay given their cap structure as they have other pieces coming up for resigning for the next 3 off seasons that could be extremely important.
trust me I know about cap issues as Benning put the Canucks in one.
The rangers have $13.4 million in space with 14 guys signed, they need a 2nd line center and a backup goalie for starters and is Kakko going to give them any kind of deal?
Jack Hughes signed an 8 X 8 deal and while everyone agrees that KK won't command that much he also isn't signing for a pittance either.
