Getting a quality 4th liner for $750 a year would be a blessing right now, if Bourque could make it happen. Our lack of depth is a big problem and having a rookie step in would be huge.

Very true, but trade value or in your example, waiver order, it would be better long term to hold onto the higher end players. Bourque and other players will slide on here for organization value and what other organizations will view our players. They have their guys who can be that too, since they are more common as opposed to a guy who has top 6 potential.

If Bourque makes it and the Rangers also have Zuccarello and St. Louis--that is three very small wingers. That could be an issue.
