I'm still here

I just spent 5 days in Vienna with my mom (who flew over from the Netherlands) to visit some Christmas markets and celebrate her finishing the latest batch of chemo. We needed some fun activities after the year we had. Last June she was given a life expectancy of 18-24 months and it hit us all real hard out of nowhere. She's only 58, and just became a grandma for the first time and I get married in May so we saw everything just crumble apart.

But it was a great weekend. Didn't see any Ranger games though haha

Hey happy you are still around here and hope everything is ok with your mom. Congrats on getting married. Hopefully only good things now moving forward for you and your family.

If you ever get to Sarasota FL again let me know!

Agreed on that, and Stout probably isn't the best place for the next one on account of the loud, oddly out of place mid 2000's "college girls getting ready for a night out" music blaring.
Yeah, this^.
Takes away from the fun when ya gotta scream in somebody's ear.

I am open and I could be wrong but my impression last time [not recently] was that going to Mustang Harry's/Sally's on 7th and getting a seat at the bar was:
1. def better for viewing the game! TVs at Stout were too far away.
2. Loud but not super noisy.

thoughts?
ps -- Molly Wee's at NW corner 8th Av + like 31 usually a good place
Someone else also pls check it out and advise if you agree....

....
I think Bern was trying to tell us the secrets of the universe and I missed a lot of it.
Fear not, bern is always available to try and help save the world, esp for those that appreciate it.

I get the feeling Bern is a big Lennon fan
Yes, but I liked the other 3 more,
George is my favorite.

He wore a Beatles shirt!
Yeah that red hockey jersey w/Beatles in the front and FAB 4 in the back.

I think shooting for Springish is a good idea.
We’re gonna be in Cancun for a wedding so dates are fixed but wife wants to catch a Canucks game as well as my wanting to get to NYC. Helps having a hockey-mad spouse….

I’ve done Xmas in New York. Bloody cold. Hoping March/April are a little milder.

Lost my mom when she was 56. Spend as much time as you can with her. Hope she's trending upward.

I also lost my mom at 56.

Sorry I missed it guys. Hectic few days. Little man had to get stitches Saturday. Long story (dad’s fault, angry wife, etc.)

I’ll make it up next time. Plus I saved you all from buying my birthday shots and witnessing me dance on the bar or something…

April I'll be travelling, early April is my girlfriend's birthday and late April is my friend's wedding. So I'll be in the DR and Italy most of that month. March should be free for me other than my friend's birthday in mid-March. May should be free too.

See I told you guys!

Everyone: "I'm worried about Loki"

Me: "He just had a kid, it's probably kid related"

Make sure you guys give me lots of likes so you're invited to the party when I join the double 100k club.

We will be having a separate gathering prior to that, but still.

I post a lot, on two team forums, and I still am nowhere as close as you. LOL.

pls keep in the loop
hope to attend depending on when, etc

last one not bad but too noisy.

We play the Penguins on the 16th and the 18th, both at home, in a weird baseball series.

I will be going to one of those games so maybe that factors in idk.

Alternatively, we play 3/25 and 4/8. Figure we don't have to be home.

I’ll just be in Anaheim from March 23-29th , other than that, I’m pretty much free. I do have tickets to the Carolina 3/21 and Buffalo 4/10 games.

My sched is not fixed, leaning no, but still maybe atm depending on the date/time, of course.

Last one at Stout was good company, but venue can stand improvement.
Too noisy, should be larger tv screens better situated for easier viewing,

Haven't been in a while, but there is a place called Mollie Wee's def on NE corner 8th Ave, and I'm saying either 30th or 31st St.
Please, check it out.
Who thinks it is an upgrade?

Maybe we wanna give it a shot?
