Well, we salvaged 2017 as Will Cuylle will be a better player than Lias, but I get the point.

Drury has to get this right in wjat ever they get back for VK
Andersson is looking really, really good for the Kings. He has massively improved both his first step and lateral mobility, and developed strong chemistry with Gabe Vilardi. He hits the corners hard, wins the bulk of his 50/50s and funnels everything straight to the net. A 20 goal season is a good possibility. LA is very, very happy with his progress.

Also, everyone trying to dunk on @EdJovanovski should shut the f*** up.

It’s plain rude to try to do this to someone when their favorite player is traded or about to be traded. There’s banter and there’s being a douchebag. Trying to tag him or mention him to try to dunk on him now is the latter.

Gauthier and Hajek aren't even in the lineup, so what, you'd rather he be in the NHL but a scratch?

If Kakko and Laf weren't Rangers, Kravtsov likely would be in one of their spots.

He could make up to 1.7m in the nhl. At worst 925k. He makes 70k in the ahl

He had good KHL numbers, but he wants to walk into a spot on an NHL team. The narrative was that it was his spot to lose in camp and he looked like he was coasting at times. Gauthier surpassed him.

He did it to himself.

He already balked at AHL time once before, went home, had some problems making teams there, and then came back supposedly more mature and focused.

I hate to lose a 21-year-old promising prospect, but if this is the way it's going down (the second time in his case) I'm definitely ready to let him go.

70k is more than I make so I have zero sympathy there.

Nothing said he'd be in the A all year, but he just nuked the chance he'd be called up in a couple of weeks when the Hajek/Gauthier situation is resolved.

He's now making $0 by refusing to report.

He's earned nothing in the NHL. He isnt in the rotation currently. The AHL is clearly where he belongs for the moment though he wouldve surely been called up. Didnt he already do this? Why are you guys as fans defending this? Sending someone down who is waiver exempt to protect someone who isnt regardless of skill for overall team purposes is hockey gm'ing 101 that every team does, including yours in the past im sure. They sent down someone who was clearly on the fringe, they didnt pull someone off the third line to protect the seventh dman.

The team has done nothing wrong here.

I’m trying to view this as if it was my team and player.
If Holtz decided to do this after getting sent down …I’d be legit pissed . Not sure if I’d want him traded or what to do.
I guess I’d feel like it would be time to move on because I wouldn’t want a player that feels like he is more entitled than others where he doesn’t need to earn his way? I can see if Kratzov outplayed other players that made the team but from what I gather, he didn’t really play his way into the roster. It sucks but I think you have to move on.

I would include Kempe and Kupari in that discussion as well.
That maybe could work. Sucks Krav wants out. He looked good in the preseason and he has tantalizing size/skill. But with all the young wings plus kreider/panarin signed, he feels he’s just not going to get the opportunity here. I kinda don’t blame him for wanting to start fresh with a new team that will actually give him top 6/9 minutes every night and likely PP time that he wouldn’t see with NYR

he is only down for waiver exemption and is costing him significant amounts of money.

You, him and sometimes Machinehead bring it upon yourselves. Same thing with Georgeleafer
Why does having an opinion that diverges from the "consensus" an open invitation for others to dump on you though? Everyone you've named end up being right sometimes, and wrong other times. At least they have the balls to have opinions and are usually pretty respectful about it :dunno:

Between the Andersson pick and the Kratsov pick, these picks didnt really go too well for the Rangers. Both were reaches at the time.
Thank god we drafted Cuylle with the Andersson return. He looks like a solid player for sure. Still needs to develop a bit more

Best prospect in the league!
He’s still a top 75-100 prospect. I don’t know who called him the best prospect in the league, but he’s still a very good prospect with size and skill that’s got a pretty high ceiling if he hits it.
Sucks that he wants to be traded but it doesn’t make him a worse prospect. He still was good enough the the preseason to make the team even with dealing with an injury. He just sees the writing on the wall that he’s a victim of the numbers game.
He’s not going to play top 6 over Kreider/Panarin/Lafreniere/kakko
Gallant runs a heavy 3rd line that’s going to feature a Goodrow with hopefully Barron very soon...
He knows he’s not going to get substantial PP time here.
It’s basically a numbers game. He sees the writing on the wall

Oh come on. How the hell would you know?

You don't know these people. They are complete strangers.

Just like Trouba and Laine said they loved Winnipeg. Trouba moved apparently because of his gf's education, and Laine wanted to be THE guy on the team. Whether they lied or not about liking Winnipeg who knows, but people aren't ever tied down to the franchise they're drafted to even if they like the team, place, or people.
