Confirmed Signing with Link: [NYR] G Jonathan Quick signs with the Rangers (1 year, $825k)

Knights should go full ***hole and file a tampering complaint over their 5th string goalie who has more or less done for half a decade. If they can be a dick to their own players why can't they be a dick to other teams?
Won't be shocked if they let him talk to the Rangers

He's way better than Halak, should come cheap, and still plays decent when he's well rested. Perfect backup behind a workhorse like Shesterkin.

I hate that I'm gunna have to cheer for the Rags when he's in net

Unless Laviolette can do a hell of a lot with our team defense this year we're going to live and die by Igor again. So the back up is largely meaningless. Unless a prime Lundqvist is coming off the bench our season will go down the toilet if Igor gets hurt.

Halak is better but he certainly wasn't great last year. This probably indicates that Quick told his agent he'd take next to nothing to play for his childhood team and just get a deal done.

Even though Quick is a shell of his former self, you will never meet a Kings fan who doesn’t love him unconditionally. He was the true heart and soul of the Cup teams.
And some of us still can’t evaluate him clearly.

For me, I think he can still return to form and go 14-2-1 In his first 18 starts

He was a true game changer in net, not to mention he would throw punches if you tried to run him.

Love this for Quick, and hope it works out for the Rangers as well. he's the ultimate competitor and hope he gets to go out on his own terms.
