It looks better, not converting though. Definitely looks better, haven't iced it on the PP once this preseason.

Need the PP to pay dividends. Rangers haven't had a decent one since Jagr. That's too long. Looking better isn't good enough.

The real issue with the team is that they seem to be collectively soft on the puck. It may be a preseason thing. But, its noticeable...

Soft on the puck and release not quick or accurate.

but if we all take a step back, we are doing some decent things. Zone entry, puck possession, finding point ment when we are along the boards, keeping in, quick passes, net front. We will do okay with full lineup and... Stepan.

Very much this. I especially like the significant improvement in zone entries/exits.

5 on 3 still has the decisiveness of an infant.

Arniel is doing what exactly with the powerplay that wasn't being done before? Looks just as inept and ineffective as before. The PP needs to get better. I don't know what you can do if it doesn't.

Hiring Arniel was a huge mistake that will that will hurt the Rangers bigtime. He's another "keep trying to hammer the square peg into the round hole" type like Torts and he will keep putting out RHD like Grardi and big bodies in front like Boyle out there again and again and again. PP won't be over 15% this season.

I'm liking this game actually. Good transition. Solid second period with players doing well. Miller is really impressing in his first game. Certainly showing maturity gained from last year and his play has benefited from less bone headed plays. Kreider is using the body for board work which is what he'll have to do to contribute on shifts until he can get himself in spots to score goals. The 5 on three was bad but we didn't have finished on that line and we didn't have a proper point man on that line either. I don't blame that too badly. Bad shot by Brassard that lead to the goal against. Over all though, the quick outlets, passes, transition and moving of the puck in the offensive zone is promising.
