Drury moved Lindys expiring deal for a 2nd and a 4th.

Hoping that is the case, but also hoping it is without $$ retention. The plus side is the rangers veterans have significant playoff experience that may entice contenders if Drury is able to navigate the the NMC's

There would have been riots if he resigned Lindgren.

Re-signing Lindgren would have been the path of least resistance, Drury telegraphed he wouldn't, and then traded him.

They give 0 iotas of care about messageboards. Drury did not do this trade for fear of the HFBoards reprisal of 2025.

Kinda. It was beyond obvious that Lindgren could not be resigned. Credit for recognizing it but it wasn’t exactly a ton of insight.

And other GMs are dumb and buy reputation. Lindgren has the reputation as a warrior. GM’s foolishly want terrible players with irrelevant reputations, we have done it ourselves too many times.

Pretty well every other coaching crew in hockey .would have him on a 3rd pair where he belongs . He catches a lot of heat here for being with Fox . Imagine if we had Rempe in the top line ? Same thing . At least now he has a chance at a Cup....he was a great Ranger .

Fox is joining the Sledge Hockey League shortly...or Para Hockey.....his elite brain makes him a valuable commodity . He will have to get rid of a leg though or he will be a leg up on the competition .
