He needs to bring in someone to coach defense first.
Ray Bourque would suck in this system.
No argument there but at the same time, these players seem to have the biggest problem playing some of the simplest of plays..

Shoot I agree with a MH post! The board meltdowns are more entertaining than the team tbh
I'm quite happy with the acquisition. This thread has been hilarious.
Tanner Glass, Cody McLeod, Mike Rupp, Derek Boogaard, Donald Brashear, Sean Avery, Colton Orr, Brandon Prust. Henrik hasn't been injured as the result of players taking liberties. He was ran one time by a Eakin who lost his mind momentarily. We've injured Anderson, Fleury, and Price that I can remember during Vigneault's tenture. We've injured more goalies than any other team.
I wish people would just admit they want more sock and boppers toughness because it's a release to watch someone punch someone else in the face.
Middle name faceIf my last name were McLeod I would be super tempted to name at least one of my children cloudy.

I’m in tons of “ minorities” opinion wise including politically around here. I’m ok with it though because I know I’m right and I win. I also don’t think it’s an infinitesimal minority. I think you’d be surprised. Maybe with people on here under 30 yrs old.
The rethoric you adhere to is oddly familiar...
It's also pretty much AV, except AV is smug about it instead of being obnoxious about it.
I support itCan we put a special prosecutor on AV? I mean, the man commits crimes against hockey on nightly basis.
We go on a 10 game winning streak now, McLeod is turning point to season.*
*Not what will happen, what AV thinks will happen when he asked Gorton to claim McLeod.
Don't for a SECOND think that AV takes any ownership of the team under performing.
I'd be willing to bet he blames the Girardi buyout and not re-signing Glass as more instrumental to the team's poor performance. Now he's making Gorton give him one of them back. The man thinks he's god's gift to hockey, it couldn't possibly be his system that has this team dead last in shot share, below Buffalo and the Coyotes, forcing his goalie to win games basically on his own. Nah, it's not that. Couldn't be Alain's fault, he's a genius!
How many of these Rangers forwards are NHL caliber? We are third last in the league in corsi rating. And if you don't believe in corsi rating, watch the game. This team makes me nauseous. This defense is decent. The main problem is our forward group. Heart over no heart any day of the week. Welcome Cody!

One, McDonagh was still concussed after McIlrath fought Simmonds. And two, it absolutely did not happen the way you are describing it. Simmonds went as soon as the opportunity was there. The fight happened 39 seconds into the game. McIlrath had been on the ice for 13 seconds. Why make **** up?
The funny thing about Glass is he wasn't even particularly tough. He just existed.
You actually said he was "running at guys like Giroux" suggesting more than one, not just one hit on Voracek. Didn't see McIlrath and Simmonds come together before the fight, didn't remember it from the time. I believe it's probably fiction. I remember Simmonds coming together with both Glass and Kreider earlier in the shift, but not McI.The only thing I got wrong is it was Voracek that McIlrath walloped not Giroux. Simmonds turned down the first offer. McIlrath catches Voracek up by the blue line on his right side. Simmonds now on the other side of the ice moves from the left towards the right as McIlrath moves from the right to the left and they meet kind of in the middle. Simmonds is not worrying where the puck is anymore when he decides to do this. He's dropped everything to confront McIlrath. He's coming over to settle things once and for all. He's answering for the hit he made on McDonagh the game before and he's doing it because he doesn't want McIlrath targeting Voracek or Giroux or anyone else. It's called answering the bell.
He's a NHL body. Preds creating cap space ahead of the deadline? Intriguing.
Tanner Glass has seriously hurt players on occasions in fights. The one that stands out is Eric Nystrom but there have been others. Glass is pretty tough. No one that I know of is claiming that Glass was a good hockey player at least at the NHL level but you hurt your own argument when you won't give the player credit for something that he was actually pretty decent at. It's not objective. There's another argument about whether or not fighting is relevant and IMO you'd be better off following that track.
