OK that's good, question isn't it good to have two centers on a line just incase one gets kicked out the circle like they do almost every face off

That’s fair, but we’re pretty sunk already. No reason to trade down a pick to fix it. We need to restore the pipeline before trying to fix this mess. Rosen has had a good stretch but certainly not sold on what he is.
Main issue is we shouldn’t be buying or moving picks for prospects. We should be moving players for picks/prospects where we’re currently at with our UFA crop

I guess the best way to put it is we already have 4 LHD signed with shortcomings and a whole crop load of UFAs we need to sell. Best case scenario is getting a LHD prospect who could develop, a year or two while these guys become either more movable or resettle into playing up to their standards
That deal was my thought as well but perhaps taking two Lower picks instead of one of their firsts like a 2nd and a 3rd as would be common to trade up for on draft day
Like I stated earlier barbs can play physical, can play center and all wings. Great forchecker with a scoring touch. If your center gets tossed out of a defensive zone start, wouldn't be nice to have another natural center take face off?
Anyway barbs is a really great underrated player. I really hope blues resign him.

Chytil has arguably been the Rangers best forward for the last month and a half. We have a 3C.
I don't know if I'd want to give up a 1st for rental Tarasenko. A 1st would go into a package for sure if we're talking Timo Meier and I much prefer Meier over Tarasenko or Kane. It would take more than a 1st but Meier is not yet a rental and only 26. The Rangers would also have to move on from a larger contract in the summer if they did bring Meier in. So that comes with its own issues but Meier is just a better and younger player.

We have Goodrow as well who can play center.
Barbashev has taken 125 faceoffs this season and has only won 39.2% of them. How is he helping us with faceoffs? And no, that's not an outlier. Last year he took 328 and only won 39.9% of them.
That is your opinion, which is fair, but you have absolutely no idea what Drury. So why speak like you’re certain? I think there’s almost a 40% chance one of those 1sts gets moved for a rental like Kane or Tarasenko

One moves to the Wing to let The best player in the world play Centre. The other team is so desperate to get a player away from center they play a barely NHL level player there Instead.
Edit: I knew I should have checked into what youre saying. You don’t even have a point here, when Drai takes more faceoffs than anyone on his team and Barbashev is literally a winger who takes draws when his Centre gets kicked out of the dot.

Barbashev is the better C out of him and Acciari, But he's also the much better LWer out of those two as well.
The issue is they are playing with Tarasenko, who only plays RW. So they went with the person who's better on the LW side to go the LW than trying to force Acciari play in his off-side. The same way when Saad is with them Saad is on the LW, Barbie as C, and Acciari as RW.

There is zero doubt in my mind that the Rangers should be in on both Barbashev and Tarasenko. We need a top 6 RW, and we need literally anyone who can end this Blais/Gauthier/Leschyshyn experiment crap on the fourth line. Even Cuylle-Goodrow-Barbashev is a far better fourth line than what we've been rolling out in recent games.
Even with reasonable injury concerns, Tarasenko will get a late 1st and a mid-prospect - minimum.

The center is the most important position. You put your best player at playing Centre at Centre And they are. It’s ludicrous to do otherwise.

No he's not...thomas centered Buch and tarasenko most of last year when they actually were the hottest line in hockey....Barbs has been a winger 95% of the time he's beenon the ice since the beginning of the 2019 season if not earlier....he was a center for us in like 2017 when our only other options were stastny and lehtera lol

He's a depth winger, idk why ranger fans who clearly don't watch blues games are calling him a center, he's not, he's played a couple games there this year due to injuries and line jumbling due to us struggling.
He's a nice depth fit for the rangers if they need a fast physical presence that can light the lamp every now and then down there lineup. Personally i don't see the fit, unless the rags want to break up the kid line or if they want to pay a premium for a barbashev and put him on their 4th line? idk....

Did you read any of the posts we replied to? BlueTacos was the one making that claim, not Ranger fans. Ranger fans were arguing the opposite. I wasn't actually agreeing with him, I was making the point that even if he were a center, we don't need one, despite what BlueTacos also claimed.

Gotcha, I skimmed, thought Bluetaco was a ranger fan, just trying to help you guys realize what he actually is... since I assume as a Winger, that actually might make him more attractive for your fanbase rather than being touted as a 3C to replace chytil for no reason.

I'm sure Drury has interest, but it will depend on the price tag. We can't afford to re-sign him, so he would be a pure rental for us. A team looking to re-sign him might be willing to pay more.
