Proposal: - NYR and Stl | HFBoards - NHL Message Board and Forum for National Hockey League

Proposal: NYR and Stl

Don't see the Rangers doing it at all.

And all their reporters have indicated smaller moves are much more likely for the team

Also saying that this gives the Rangers a 3rd line center shows no knowledge of the Rangers team (and also your own team because neither of those players are Centers)

NYR - mathew roberston l, kravstov 2023 1st rnd pick (cap dump)

STL - tarasenko 50% retained barbashev

This trade gives rangers a center for third line and the top six sniper

It’s not that far off like some say here

Probably take out Robertson and add like a 4th and it’s something that could happen

The 1st wound be the Rangers later one
They will try and do 2 seconds W 1 conditional like they did last year W Copp

Barbashev is a center. He was developed as a center and played most of last year center one of the hottest lines in the NHL buch barbs tarasenko. He is billed as center on all sites. Is considered a center by nhl analyst and has played center this year.....so is it me or you who doesn't know sheet. Lol

Here are his top 5 most common linemates this year, sorted by TOI in season to date, he isn't the center on the line for any of them. The Rangers also don't need a center.

Your line combo where he was a center was his 3rd most common line combo on the season last year, which accounted for about 8% of his total even strength TOI last year, his top 2 most common lines (by far) he was not the center

You also ignored the entire main points of my post and only focused on the one off comment in parenthesis lol

Bro he is a center playing the wing. I also said last year. Its funny how you don't make a legit statement then try and find stats to back up your bogus statement. Lol

Blues have alot of good centers. He played there last year he is playing wing this year. Watch some games. Charts aren't going to tell you more than someone that actually follows that team. Even I knew he played center all year last year.

Don’t think NYR would fight that much . Kravtsov is the higher prospect in my opinion
Robertson may get a look next year though
We have bolduc and snuggerud most likely getting a good look next year roberston will help us on the d side. If there was a way to get both kravstov and Robertson for tarasenko and barbashev retained and taking a cap dump back I think it would work. Throw a 3rd from stl to even things out.

Sometimes you just can't argue with know it alls that probably never played the sport in their life.

The main ask I would like is Robertson and 1st 2023 for tarasenko.

My thoughts were can we add barbashev and add retention and take cap dump for kravstov too.
Personally, I'd prefer not to move either of the two firsts we have. But if we had to, I'd like for it to be conditional similar to the conditions in the Copp deal last year.

2nd, can be a 1st with the NYR'S getting to the Conference Finals AND Tank playing in at least 50% of the teams games (playoffs).

I'm not as enamored with Barbashev as some other NYR fans are. Decent player, but doesn't move the needle for me.

The barbshev thing is fine but tank is getting a first. Adding a condition like that will kill the deal.

Great. He's a center. The Rangers don't need a center.

Tarasenko could be of interest, but we aren't paying a 1st for him. If some other team is willing to do that, good for them.

Maybe just keep it basic. Mathew Robertson and 1st 2023
For tarasenko 50% retained.

Tarasenko
For
Cuylle ,2nd, your 1st 3rd and cap dump

Hopefully D+D [Dolan + Drury] will continue to de facto learn from mistakes and listen to bern:
no bs win now which almost never works in any sport.

NY best chance at ANY cup, esp multiple cups = extend young window, not cannibalize youth for more expensive vets which = less roster flexibility

No.
Pay top $$ for Lindgren -- which he commands -- we keep younger, bigger Robertson.
If you want Robbie enuf to pay top $ even tho his value is still growing as he marinates at the A, fine, we can gamble Scanlin is ready for 3LD at training camp, which is entirely possible.

Krav is not a cap dump and is not being dealt except for top $ return.
He's a talented 9OA who has been misused by Drury and GG and they now realize they were stupid and wrong not to listen to bern and develop K earlier. They will not compound their error and look even worse by giving him away.

I'm ok with that as well as I do not subscribe to the idea that TDL acquisitions do anything other than waste valuable assets.

I'd prefer the Rangers go into the POs with minor tweaks like adding a Trenin or a Jeannot. Preferably both and because both are longer term options, I'd be more inclined to part with a 1st in a package for both

Korczak, Lindbom, Mancini, Blais for Barbashev(50%), Mikkola, Cranley
