Leafs defence simply cannot protect the area in front of the net well enough.

That game had no business going to OT. Leafs actually played a solid game. Couldn't get a save (not all the goals were bad) and the 4th line sucked. Also had plenty of chances to bury them in the 3rd

We need better goaltending, Woll was good in OT and Shootout, but he was not good for the 60 minutes prior.

Defence I thought was better tonight.

Fully healthy we need a 2LD, 2RD maybe, 4RW and maybe a goalie
we have other things we can upgrade but these are the most important.

If Keefe possessed any competence, Holmberg over Reaves tomorrow

Removing Reaves and or Klingberg seems to remove 2 goals against per game. Reaves is on pace for a -64 season. So this seems like an easy slam dunk fix.

To dunk on Reaves even more. The Zadorov hit on Bertuzzi is kind of the textbook scenario why you have a guy like Reaves. And yet at 4-4 (because Reaves was on for 2 already) you couldn't deploy Reaves - not that there was any guarantee he would engage. So let's end the experiment, call it a day.
