At any rate, the Jets are not releasing him. They can’t make that kind of trade and cut him loose. They even had the introduction!

Grand opening, grand closing
If he was going to get the big contract, he needed to have done so by now. He's a 7 year pro, going into year 8 with very good production the past 4 seasons, however, he turns 30 in late September. I doubt he's getting a Bradley Chubb type contract (a notch below the elites) at his age with basically 3 years of the average contract guaranteed.

Joe Douglas is an idiot.

If you aren't going to give the guy who got traded because he wanted a new deal...maybe don't trade for him?

I also don't believe the horseshit that's coming out of the Jets camp today that Reddick was fine playing on his current deal. This whole thing started because the Eagles gave him and his agent the green light to find a team that would give him what he wanted.

NE not playing games with Judon. He's not being allowed to sit on.

Looking at his contract, his agent messed up. He got tagged by Balt for $16 mill, then after that signs 4 years for $56 mill with NE, so $14 mill AAV. Yet, his final year is just $6.5 mill base salary. No reason for the Pats to adjust the contract, not at age 31.

The Jets have leverage and their defense is still solid overall without Reddick but it's still a stupid situation. They did not want to extend the younger Bryce Huff so they get an older player in Reddick that they won't extend either. It's just dumb asset management.

I know it's popular right now to blame Aaron Rodgers for the failure of the Jets.

But this franchise traded for the guy, who was already disgruntled because he wanted to be paid more. Only to still not come to a deal as we enter week 6.

Vintage Jets.

Every game he does not play, is a game where the competition can show what they are made off and his performances slowly fade from memory.
