Sure they are. Road trips, dinners, practices, team events, and rec time at the rink or practice
Facilities.
It begs the question, is it worth it to have a player solely on the team for cohesion and team bonding? I mean, you can be the nicest guy in the world, but leadership is also by example (i.e being on the ice and showing the guys how it's done).
