To NYI: 4th Overall Pick

To DAL: Noah Dobson

To UTA: Jason Robertson

UTA gets a PPG forward with a 100 point season under his belt, DAL gets a top pairing defenseman with a 70 point season under his belt, NYI gets Hagens.

Add as necessary to balance value.

Jason Robertson can sign an extension on July 1st so a deal would have to be worked on with an agreement to sign an extension on July 1, he’d have to wait a week or two.

This is assuming NYI wants a semi-rebuild. Robertson is a prime asset but doesn’t really help them in that sense.

I could see Dallas considering something like this if they wanted to preserve their depth. Kesselring would demand way less than Dobson which gives them flexibility to re-sign Granlund etc.

There would be due diligence beforehand to sort out an extension in this case (similar to Timo Meier).

Timothy was an RFA that summer so talks could happen. 1 full contract yr then RFA you can't talk till July 1

Since 2017 how many guys drafted have a 100+ point seasons? Or are career PPG. GM drafting guys being in the top 5 would be thrilled if they got to Robertson’s level player. Both those guys are worth the 4th overall pick. Robertson is worth more.

Dude it would be an absolute slam dunk if the 4ov end up as good as either player. It's the best case scenario.
