Whats the point of suspending him for just the SJ game?

The initial crosscheck to the head/neck and then driving him to the ice wasn’t enough, had to give him an extra one while he’s lying there defenseless. What a piece of shit.

It looks to me like that isn't a cross check at first, but wrapping around his neck for a headlock, and his head doesn't hit the ice. The follow up hit is a cross check or butt end, and it does make his head hit the ice.

It was helmet contact both times on that 2nd hit so it's not all that bad, but the league can't allow stuff like that when you have someone's head by the ice like that

I wouldn't expect Byfield to be injured from that. He'll be there for game 1 unless the footage is hiding something worse than what I'm seeing

He has a horrible knack for taking bad penalties and being the one that the refs choose frome a scrum or getting caught retaliating.
He does have a rep with the refs so I think he did the right thing there

No reason to cross check a player when they are down like that. I'd like to see 3 or 4 games.
