The Canes are always a day late and a dollar short when it counts the most.

I ain't even mad.

I was kind of wondering whether this team had what it took to get over the hump this year. Now I don't have to wonder. After beating the best team in the NHL, they had three chances to get to Loser .500, and blew every one of them. Maybe they'll finally get there at some point, but I think they really needed these points to have any real shot at the playoffs. And now Rask and PDG are hurt.

We're closer, and we've got some exciting kids, but we are what we thought we were. We'll be sellers at the deadline. In a way, I'm relieved.

With how Horvat played the first period, you knew be was going to burn us eventually.

I was predicting him to score the OT goal, but the Canes couldn't even manage that.

We will lose the next 2 games against the BJs, putting us at 0-3-2 on that stretch of winnable games we needed to stay on the bubble.

again i am rite in my analysis

Who's surprised?

As BB said in another thread, at least 4 points between CBJ twice and VAN should be doable. If this team is going to be any different from past ones, we need 4 points.

+1. And I know it won't (and shouldn't) happen, but I'd rather see the team revert the games that are 6-5. At least it's more enjoyable to watch.

Lindholm has to be playing hurt right? He was brutal, especially handling the puck from start to finish. I actually thought Terry played pretty well, for him obviously. EStaal and Steeg back to being total non factors.

Another sub .900 sv%. Unacceptable. :sarcasm:

I can't see how scratching Lindholm would help at all. It's not effort, it's confidence. Move him off the ****ing Staal line. Don't do the obvious and put Nash in Rask's place, try Lindholm there.

Even the expression on his face looks miserable. Not sure if he's injured, lacks confidence, putting too much pressure on himself, or what, but it's obvious there's something going on.

Personally, I'd move him down off the top line before sitting him, but I can see both sides of it. If Rask is out, they may not have the luxury of scratching him anyhow.
