There's physical and then there's mental.Soft? I guess you were thinking about his brother? Granlund actually goes to the dirty areas, PK:s etc. Soft is a thing he is not.

It was just a rumour. Obviously, it had no traction. Good for the Preds.
He re-signed. It is not as if another team out bid them.Toronto's cap situation: Too slippery for traction
Yikes.
1 million?Where's that oof level meme? Holy shit what an overpayment.
Poile couldn't let go of Hyne's favourite!
Lmao, yikes deal. You'd think the flat cap would have taught GMs to be somewhat better with contract management but...clearly that's a nope!
People calling it a bad deal clearly did not spend a second watching Nashville last year.
It's not a great deal, but for our current set-up and cap space it's fine for one of our better players. Not (fully) Granlund's fault that the Preds are a great black hole of suckage for offensive production. A million less or a year less and I'd be happier, but it's not crippling.People calling it a bad deal clearly did not spend a second watching Nashville last year.
It's a fair deal now, but is liable to be "meh" in year 3 and bad in years 4 and 5, when he's 33 and 34 and when Hynes is probably gone. A 2-year deal for $5M AAV would've been a lot better, IMO.

it ends when he's 33... how will it be bad when he's 34?
Yeah. My mistake. 4 years isn't as bad as 5 years, but I still would've preferred a 2 year deal at that AAV.Fortunately, there is no Year 5.
We replaced those guys with players who were clearly better for us last year than they were.I think this is a mistake for Granlund the preds have started what looks to be a rebuild with the Arvidson and Ellis trades
