Barring injuries with Florida, Toronto aren't getting out of the division, so Leafs fans will be bitching & screaming by early May.If we happened to get into a wildcard position and then faced the Leafs in round one and they finally beat us, that would be even more painful. I am usually optimistic but I am resigned to the fact this isn't going to happen anyway. The team is so predictable, tie it up, give up a goal seconds later, pull the goalie, give up an empty net goal, blow leads, special teams are so bad, etc. We have been spoiled, so it is a tough pill to swallow.
Yes, there is always that to enjoy.Barring injuries with Florida, Toronto aren't getting out of the division, so Leafs fans will be bitching & screaming by early May.
In a 32 team league with a salary cap where 16 teams make the playoffs, you’re going to have years where you DNQ.
I’ve accepted that.
I don’t believe they’re on the right track to address the issues which will keep them from qualifying this season.
Having said that, it’s ownership’s prerogative to attempt the most conservative approach to getting back before they employ more drastic measures like a front office change.
But to be clear, I want them to take the more radical path.
Fans in the 300s despise the cramped seating when the seats were replaced just before COVIDWho in their right mind is renewing ST?
Precisely why I am not opposed to dealing core pieces.Fans in the 300s despise the cramped seating when the seats were replaced just before COVID
When I was a kid and dinosaurs roamed on Causeway Street, renewing a season ticket meant paying for FIVE games up front. The team would then mail you a punch card, and you went to the box office to pay for upcoming games, and were allowed to miss 5 games.
Today, I can say with certainty that no US-based team treats its season ticket holders worse than the Bruins.
Last night was tough - Bruins tie the game in the third and then fell apart.
The main reason any fan invests in season tickets is to be there for the playoffs. The reality is the next home playoff game could be in 2028 or later..................![]()
I would pull a goalie after 5, especially if the team is laying an egg in front of him. That Stamkos goal Ken Dryden would not have stopped.Barry Pederson said only reason they even had chance in the 3rd was because of Swayman. Its a bad bad hockey team.Bruins had 15 shots for crying out loud.
Yeah a lot of blaming sway but look at the shots the other teams are getting.I have said this before but you never pay goalies a lot because 90% of the time if the team in front is not good neither is the goalie. There probably only a hand full of hall of fame goalies that could make a bad team win. Most of today goalies need a good team in front of them to shine.
Props to you for the gorn gif!Last year Swaymans lateral movement
Super fast!!! Agile!!! Quick!!!

Roughly 3 goals a game.If last night wasn't clear that this team desperately needs to add more players who can create and finish offensive plays, I don't know what is. Nashville's top players buried their prime scoring chances, and they've also been a team that has had issues scoring, so how far behind are the Bruins?
I'd be totally shocked if that were to be the case. This season has been just a $hit show from the start...... Starting with having way to many 3rd -4th liners that Pasta and Marchand have been anchored with, injuries on the back-end, a subpar Swayman you get a DNQ.Today, I can say with certainty that no US-based team treats its season ticket holders worse than the Bruins.

We are! (although not sure if can claim “right minds”Who in their right mind is renewing ST?
They need another goalie in order to get back to the playoffs next year. Swayman/ Korpisalo isn’t good enough . I guess Swayman isn’t going anywhere but they need someone who can rotate with him .I'd be totally shocked if that were to be the case. This season has been just a $hit show from the start...... Im pretty confident with the right moves in FA and some shrewd trades they'll be back as soon as next year competing in the playoffs. Although I would like to see a change at the position which is most responsible for this $hit show taking place, as I don't have much faith in Sweeney, but I think it'll take another DNQ.
I will. My kid is going to all of those games. And who is going to stay up to watch that west coast trip
Yowzers
Now that Boston made a deal with the Oilers I doubt they can squeeze another one for Carlo. The Oilers getting shelled by Ducks 5-1 about to lose 6 of last 7 but playoffs they will play Kings whom they match up well against. Its all about matchups to me.Leafs fans be happy no Bruins for same reason but best hope no habs either.
Damn that's completely uncalled for. Were you able to hear what he was saying?I haven't read through all of the crap in the GDT or this one, but did they show the fan in the third period who came down to the glass right near Sway (who was at the bench for a commercial break) ...really pounded on the glass hard and was swearing at Sway? The fan was out of line and got tossed.
It was right in front of us and the fan was very threatening and out of control. All of the Bs were glaring at him. Sway laughed it off but not sure how he really felt.
