If results are all that matters then Roslovic has botched his top 6 opportunity. Bring in Petan next game and give him a shot there. That line has been awful for a while now, what is the harm. Maybe Laine needs a pure playmaker on his line.

Tell me-what do we have to lose here ?? Put in Petan--he played great in his last 2 outings, and the guy can set up goals. Put him on the 2nd line with Little and Laine,
and you'll see some magic happen over a little time. Roslo is doing nothing.

We're getting very little scoring from our 2nd line, so we need to shake some things up, and Roslovic can be moved down to the 4th line --he's not ready for the 2nd line yet.

Mo isn't going to throw them under the bus anyways. He never does that with his players. He would just side step and say something about the flow/nature of the game and move on.

Very much agree - and l like the fact that Maurice is behind his players - never any point in laundering issues with the media.
But the point stands - Mo gets big fluffy softballs in most interviews.

Great comeback win! Helle was perfect in the shootout.

I think I agree with Maurice benching Laine. It's hard to be 100% supportive without knowing how they are coaching/teaching/developing this kid overall. But the way he has been playing, I have to assume that they have been talking to him about his weaknesses and lack of effort. And, that there will be consequences if it continues, which it did tonight.

We are at a key inflection point with this kid. He is the most important draft and develop asset in Jets 2.0 history. For those that say Maurice is a great coach for developing players and so is this org, I think how they do with Laine will say alot about if that is true or not.
They've led the horse to the water.

We nothing to lose as the line as constructed is performing about as bad as possible

The game turned after those two fights.

After that second game in Finland, I never thought I'd see Lemieux replace Laine on the second line in the last minute of regulation.

If I'm not mistaken, Maurice had a line of Lemieux, Little and Copper.

If Petan gets in, its on the 4th line. Lemieux would move up to the 2nd before Petan, especially because having 3 guys on a line where Little is the most physical seems like a recipe for possession failure.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lemmy-Little-Laine.

Lemieux stepped onto the ice in the second period looking to make a statement and get his team back into it. A few nice hits to let Boston know that we were still alive.
I for one am VERY happy that he’s on our team and getting more minutes. We were lacking that aspect and he does it well. Most of the time. :)

I agree and he is fast learning to not make bad plays with the puck. I have to admit he is going to be better than I thought he would be. I don't like gooning it up but the odd fight like tonight is fine by me. I thought Tanev showed some cajones by going after someone quite a bit bigger. Lowry stepped up for a team mate...Lemmy and I can't remember who were about to go at it and the gloves were at their finger tips.
I honestly think they play better when the going gets tough.
