I've already mentioned this but you must recognize that players get absolutely lambasted on this board when they make bad plays - it happens in every single GDT and it happens to most of the players. It's part of the price you have to pay to live here - took me awhile to get used to it.

I gave Laine a little shot tonight - and he deserved it. But I love the player and won't stop yellin' at him when he f$$k's up.

My beloved KC was manhandled after the last game - they were bringing stuff up from 2 years ago - same old cracks, you know the one's - gifted his role on line one, terrible D player, never passes to Laine (I laughed at that one because he actually set him up that same night), too soft, and on it went.
Water off a ducks back - slept like a baby.

I don't really mind the comments myself, I just end up fighting other peoples battles sometimes  I hope Laine doesn't revert back to last years form with those blunders.

I think we may have a late bloomer here in Sbisa, I mean just look at that elite offensive awareness! The way he read the play, snuck by Hintz into open space and hammered it home. These things you just can't teach. But seriously, good for him, seems like a heck of a nice guy but just not skilled enough for a regular shift.

Hintz didn’t play tonight. I assume you’re referring to #34 Denis Gurianov.

The tucked in jersey fooled me:laugh: But thanks for the correction.
Yeah, we beat ya without Hintz or Klingberg :naughty:

In all seriousness, it was a really good regular season game to be at. I love Stars/Jets games because it’s a guarantee that Laine/Seguin will drive the other fan base bonkers. Hope we can both take playoff spots and keep Nashville and Chicago out of it.

Laine cost them 1 point in the standings -- should have never given up that pass from Poolman. He's continually losing possession.

We could have at least had a tie game, and 1 point.

Laine started the season really strong and in some games was the Jets best player, in the last 10 games he looks like crap again or like last season to forget for him. His skating is still really sub par, he's not even close to being able to keep up with Schief and Connor!

You're right but the people you're responding to propably aren't talking about you when they say "grumps". There's some guys here, you learn the names quick who clearly have it out against Laine no matter what and they always pop up after a mistake like that with their hot takes of how he's a bad player etc.

What I meant was, you can only make so many comebacks before you fail one while you give up more prime scoring chances than you get.
Just like there's a bunch of Laine fanboys who mysteriously appears when the Jets drafted him and make it all about him and not about the team *shrugs*

Laine is a Jet and when he f***s up I'll call him out just like any other member of the team.

The Jets should not have any chance to tie, let alone win the game. And yet they somehow made it into 3-3. Very unfortunate that Laine mishandled the puck so that Dallas got what they honestly did earn in that game.

Robbery was close, very close. This team is grinding with everything they have got, and that's a good sign even after a bit weaker game.

Good response to going down, unfortunate misplay at the blue line to give up the winner. Yes, Laine boofed it but other forwards have done it too so I'm not going to be too hard on him.

You're not going to win every game unless you're the New York Islanders, so as long as they take the last 25 minutes into Saturday at home, then it's business as usual.

I don't know if it was a weaker game, or maybe the best team so far on this road trip. Dallas made the Jets work for chances, and early, the chances were in our favour. The tide turned quick. But they were prepared for us. And still the Jets seemed to have their chances, as Dallas without Klingberg has some weaknesses on d. We are 1-1 against the Stars, but they got the extra point, which separates us. Could have came out ahead on another night, that's hockey. Still like this team, agreed.

Dallas is a good team and
was something like 11-1-1 going into this.

They're a deeper team and it showed. Sure they got some bounces, but you naturally get more bounces just by the virtue of having the puck more.

We just can't consistently win the possession game against a team like that with a 4th line and defensive corps like this.

I guess there's still room to grow though with 60 games to go.

Good comeback , good road trip , we just have to start another little win streak . I'll say it again people constantly complain about Sbisa but Boo is worse , he can't skate and gives the puck away constantly . Time for Shaw to go back to the Moose and give someone else a shot on the 4th line . And fire whoever is in charge of the ice in Dallas . :help:

As I said before the game that was a tough game vs a red hot team. Jets were in the fight and that's what count, made into a one goal game (before the ENG).

still don't understand how that wasn't offside, he tried to pull it forward whiffed and was clearly across the blue line before the puck
Agreed.

There is no way the Dallas player had “control” of that puck. And it’s not like the camera view was obstructed. You could see everything.

is there some quirk in the offside rule that I’m not aware of? Cuz that’s offside where I’m from.

I thought the Jets actually played pretty well and were the victims of some unfortunate bounces.

Looks like the refs have already been instructed to soften their stance on offside. I'd say that Dallas had a lucky goal, and 2 non goals. However, they also missed on some golden chances.

Helle was good again, he had a really unlucky one go in on him and a perfect deflection. I'm sure he'd love to have the poke decision on goal 4 back though.

I thought the D were great. Pionk was a friggin beast last night, and Kuli and Beaulieu stepped up their physical play. Nice play by Sbisa to jump up at the right time for a tap in. Poolman is slow.

Poolman is a massive liability playing 1st pair minutes. There is no way you make that pass especially given the circumstances. Laine thought he was going deep behind the net, as he should have. And this was all night long......very poor decision making. I actually like Poolman, but he still needs to be sheltered.
