Amazing! What a month will do. We were super close to looking like we were going to bottom out again.
Ullmark Mark has returned to his All-Star ways. I don't expect him to keep up the torrid Pace. However, if he can just play 500 hockey for us, we'll make the rest happen.
I am very impressed with the structured play as of late. The team is playing well together and making a huge effort to play a complete 200-ft game. They're taking care of the little details. They're not playing perfect and I don't expect them to and I don't care. All that matters is we keep playing with this level of intensity and we're going to be on the right side of the score more times than not. I don't expect miracles but with this level of effort and hard work, good things will come.
There has been a lot of standout players. Our first line is playing like one of the best first lines in hockey. You're starting to see the second line play like a first line. Also. The third line is starting to chip in and the fourth line is starting to do its job.
I think some of our best play from our defense I have seen in many years. Jensen is truly the anchor on this team. His calmness is contagious for Chabot. It's too bad that Jake has to play with an anchor around his neck named Harmonic. The third pairing has actually surprised me. They're seeing limited ice time yes, but they are playing solid hockey. They're definitely going to see increased playing time if they continue. I have to wonder if Zub comes back quicker that they make. Let him rest a bit more with a practice Jersey on considering how well things are going in the back end.
Certainly nice early Christmas present to have our team firing on all cylinders. I hope they're able to continue to do this through the rest of the month. This is a really crucial part of our season that we're going through and so far they're doing really well. However, with the holidays coming up it's always a bit sketchy. But it's sketchy for other teams too and hopefully we end up on the right side of things.
Enjoying watching the game these days with a smile on my face.
