in this world of transfer portal and NIL, it should be an easier transition.
He knows how to be a CEO of a program of professional athletes, and that is what student athletes are now

That's a fair point but the transfer portal also makes for a lot more work to then they use to do. They have to recruit transfer players and talk they're own players into staying to go along with all the high school recruiting. I'm surprised he wants to take that on at his age but I'd imagine he'll delegate a lot of that work.

really thought he'd hold out for the nfl just so he could break shula's record. i guess teams just aren't willing to give him the unlimited power he wants

he'll delegate for sure.
college atheltics is no longer really about going into living rooms with these kids and giving them the "i'll coach your boy into a man over the next 4 years" and all that mumbo jumbo.

most of these kids fathers grew up during his dynasty and when the money from school-to-school is close between programs, bill and his sb rings and his pitch that he knows how to get kids on the NFL path because he is one of the greatest ball coaches ever will helo give UNC the edge for a couple years until it ether works out or the novelty wears off
