30 Jack Lisson has the net. 9 Briir Long is listed as RES, 1 of 19 skaters. Presumably someone will be a game time decision. 20 Reyth Smith is in, 23 Stepan Chukharev is out. 31 Brayden Gillespie goes for the ‘heads. 94 Porter Martone is not listed on the game sheet.

Some misc. observations re: NB 4 NIA 3. Fully agree with 50 re: Welly/ Iggy / Amidovski as a line. Welly might be the team’s best defender among the forward group and that might have been Lirim’s best game (that I have seen). His 2 A were beauties and he hunted pucks and occasionally, bodies, the entire game.

On the other side of the ledger, 4 Aaron Enright looked out of sync, possibly because of missing 2 weeks with an undisclosed ailment. And I wonder if he is fully recovered. His -3 for the game was kind of unusual. How many Troops are on the plus side of the +/- stat for the season? Just one, you guessed it, rookie Enright, who is still +2 even after last night. I know, +/- may have outlived its usefulness, but when you compare his number with the twins (and others), yikes. It seemed like 2 Zac Wilson struggled at times, but I like the idea of another 2 seasons of his (hopefully continuing to improve) play.
Welly has been a really nice replacement for OVS, he’s got a great motor and brings a lot of energy to the team. I find that line is always playing hard no matter the score. Another player who would likely be on a draft list right now if he played in the OHL earlier. The Moses/Wigle/Vaughan line seems to be losing some mojo though, wouldn’t mind seeing Therrien and Vaughan trade places for a few games.

Probably a case of injury for Enright. Niagara is a fast perimeter team and that’s probably one of the harder styles to jump into defending after missing time.

Our power play is totally awesome. NOT!
Might have won a few games if we had one.
I’ve lost count how many years this trend has taken place.
Not the coaches strength.
Sunday’s Ottawa game should be interesting.

I get more excited with Wellenreiter and Amidovski on the PK than I do with PP1 on the ice…. Brutal year for the PP.

Well, here we are, looking at the game of the season (so far). Question for Battalion fans: What are we hoping for re: playoffs, make or miss?

Make – Revenue from 2 home games (partially or mostly offset by 2 away games); the chance to have a 1st round draft choice in the 5,6,7 range; the ”experience” of losing 4 consecutive games by a combined 26-7.

Miss – early end to the season after 3 consecutive trips to the Conference final; the chance to have a 1st round draft choice in the top 4,and a slim but realistic chance of 1 or 2.

34 Mike McIvor (2.95, .906) has the net. 7 Brayden Turley; 20 Reyth Smith; 23 Stepan Chukharev are out. 32 Jaeden Nelson (3.59, .890) goes for OTT. Attendance could top 3000. From the Misc. Stats Dept.: OTT PK #20 69%; NB PP #15 19%.

Would rather see them make it at this point, would love to upset Barrie in the first round. I think another 1st rounder won’t make this team a world beater next year, going to need some growth from the 08’s and 07’s and some trades to get back in the top competitors IMO. I don’t think we’ll win this year obviously, but I think if we get another McIvor performance like last year we could make it to the 2nd round or atleast get a few games. This years draft class not looking quite as good last years either… Either way, I’m already excited for next year

Great win by the troops, Pazii with another excellent performance, 3rd line continues to shine. Absolutely brutal injury to Wilson, stick to the eye and down on the ground flailing, had to be rushed off the ice. Hoping he’s alright…. Awful to see

Heard he was ok but headed to the hospital.
Phenomenal performance the line of NW28 IP13 LA29. Total domination with them on the ice. JT6 took some abuse but held himself together well. Good to see
