forgot to tie their skates in first period, othewise same old s**t refereesBig game for the troops this afternoon…. Sitting 1 point out of a playoff spot and a fight for the bottom between Us, Ottawa, Brantford, Brampton. Big win against the generals should give us momentum, if we take today’s game and the Soo Wednesday maybe we can roll into Sudbury with some confidence and start the new year in a more secure playoff spot. McIvor for MVP!
There was no reason to have lost this game especially when we didn't play the day before (like Ottawa did in OT against Barrie). I sometimes wonder if curfew's are still used.forgot to tie their skates in first period, othewise same old s**t referees
Agreed. Therrien needs to be off the PP altogether, I think the odd one timer hes scored from that area has inflated his confidence way too much, he’s always calling for the puck but can’t carry it. Toe dragging at the blue line should be an automatic bench. His defensive game was always bad, but this year I find he’s a liability every time he has the puck. He can score the odd great 1 man effort goal and skate well, but when it’s time to use that speed to back check it’s suddenly gone. Amidovski or Smith should be there instead.Need to take Therrien off the 1st PP unit and replace him with Amidovski. Therrien plays to deep (near the hache marks), and gets caught every time, thus we give up a short handed goal.

For an NHL pick, Henry Mews is a pretty dissapointing player. Long way to go with that attitude and behaviour before he sees big league ice. He’s a Quentin Musty on defence without the size and a lot less skill…forgot to tie their skates in first period, othewise same old s**t referees
Heard that he has a one-way ticket home.I wonder if we’ll even see NT26 even return after Christmas
Healthy players, unfortunately.Guelph unloading players the last couple of days. The return...1 player and 10 draft picks. What are we waiting for? Get in before the cupboards are bare!
NB has a very depleted draft cupboard (2 2nds, 2 3rds, 2 4ths total in next 4 years) any chance they move any 06’s other than Mcivor like Therrien, Amidovski or Procyszyn?Healthy players, unfortunately.
The problem with going all-in last season is that they saw the majority of the NHL prospects graduate instead of net them draft capital. Like I said last year, it was a risk.
Hopefully Romani can get some games on and stay healthy. He deserves another shot at a title. OVS might be sought after, too. Possibly McIvor. But that's the extent of the big fish this season.

Niagara trading leading ROTY candidate in Wassilyn would be ridiculous when this isn’t their year. Don’t think Niagara goes for a goalie until the summer. Flores is the guy, and they will start him every game except 3 games weekends. There are conditional 2, 4 picks tied up with Cali reporting as well.
I think there is a near zero chance of Procyszyn or McIvor being traded this season. [Edit: excepting Procyszyn, McIvor - Wassilyn, picks?]
I also think that trading one of Amidovski or Therrien would only be considered if the plan is to keep Romani for his OA season.

I guess Romani and OVS are the only guys who might get them some picks back. Not sure how much OVS gets you.
I think Nadon is the goalie of the future, personally think swapping Nadon with Larocque is a wise move. Nadon deserves a shot at some OHL games and looked good in his one start (stats may not reflect this), Larocque has been given plenty of opportunity but needs to work on his poise and get his confidence back. Larocque sent down and Nadon called up for 2025 makes sense…Just reviewing some of the pre Christmas stats for some of the Battalion prospects.. Carter Nadon currently posting a Save% of .918 with a 2.33 GAA - The save % is third among rookie goalies in the OJ birthyear of 07 & later. Positive look for the future in the crease with Mikey, Charlie & Carter!
I think we are in a better spot than Guelph though, the young guns we have this year have looked great. We’re shaping up to be a good team next year, while trading Romani is probably wise, Procyszyn, McIvor, Kennedy and Ride are probably worth hanging onto. OVS could be moved but he’s loved by the franchise and fans, his brothers in the system, I doubt they do anything. He deserves to finish his junior career with us. The Leblancs may be a good package….. Mr. Greer could very easily quarterback that first power play line…Guelph unloading players the last couple of days. The return...1 player and 10 draft picks.
