Big game for the troops this afternoon…. Sitting 1 point out of a playoff spot and a fight for the bottom between Us, Ottawa, Brantford, Brampton. Big win against the generals should give us momentum, if we take today’s game and the Soo Wednesday maybe we can roll into Sudbury with some confidence and start the new year in a more secure playoff spot. McIvor for MVP!

Need to take Therrien off the 1st PP unit and replace him with Amidovski. Therrien plays to deep (near the hache marks), and gets caught every time, thus we give up a short handed goal.

There was no reason to have lost this game especially when we didn't play the day before (like Ottawa did in OT against Barrie). I sometimes wonder if curfew's are still used.

Agreed. Therrien needs to be off the PP altogether, I think the odd one timer hes scored from that area has inflated his confidence way too much, he’s always calling for the puck but can’t carry it. Toe dragging at the blue line should be an automatic bench. His defensive game was always bad, but this year I find he’s a liability every time he has the puck. He can score the odd great 1 man effort goal and skate well, but when it’s time to use that speed to back check it’s suddenly gone. Amidovski or Smith should be there instead.

For an NHL pick, Henry Mews is a pretty dissapointing player. Long way to go with that attitude and behaviour before he sees big league ice. He’s a Quentin Musty on defence without the size and a lot less skill…

Just reviewing some of the pre Christmas stats for some of the Battalion prospects.. Carter Nadon currently posting a Save% of .918 with a 2.33 GAA - The save % is third among rookie goalies in the OJ birthyear of 07 & later. Positive look for the future in the crease with Mikey, Charlie & Carter!

Guelph unloading players the last couple of days. The return...1 player and 10 draft picks. What are we waiting for? Get in before the cupboards are bare!

Healthy players, unfortunately.

The problem with going all-in last season is that they saw the majority of the NHL prospects graduate instead of net them draft capital. Like I said last year, it was a risk.

Hopefully Romani can get some games on and stay healthy. He deserves another shot at a title. OVS might be sought after, too. Possibly McIvor. But that's the extent of the big fish this season.
