He cried his way into a trade to his hometown Battalion! His Dad did the same thing when he was in the OHL with the Oshawa Generals (Got traded to Sudbury which is close enough to North Bay to stop his constant crying). Both got extremely homesick as would not stop crying until they got traded. Briir is not worth a 5th round pick!! Pretty big favor from the Battalion to the Long Family.
Wowzers. Great insight 🙄

Ya, I thought it might be a home-town favor to the kid.

How can they be facts if they are either right or wrong? You’re not making any sense Travis
Right meaning- The kid wanted to go home could because of homesickness and Brantford had no issue and did everything they could to accomidate him.

Wrong meaning- Brantford could have been pissed as they would have every right as they selected him for a reason. So much for team loyalty.

Facts- This is the situation! His Dad also literally did the same thing.

It didn’t have to be north bay, I know he was offered to 3:5 other teams as well.

as a matter of fact the kid would have been happy to stay in Brantford but they reassigned him to jr b so he asked to be traded. He wound ah e went anywhere.

what makes you think he would only go to north bay? If he would only go to north bay, why would North bay overpay? There’s a logic break down heee.

Notes from Wednesday afternoon’s workout:

3 Declan Gallivan was on ice in red non-contact. He participated partially and at less than full speed. His appearance in the lineup might still be several weeks away. 20 Reyth Smith was on ice in regular gear and operated at full speed. It would appear his 1G, 1A in 12GP will be back in for the next game. 9 Briir Long was on ice and doing rushes on what would appear to be a 4th line with 19 Nolan Laird and 11 Ryder Carey. 10 Dylan Richter still appears to be part of the team despite his scratch in the last game and the arrival of Long. I noticed on the league’s Stats section that 17 Tyson Rismond has the dreaded X beside his name after 1GP.

13 Iggy Pazii and 15 Tony Romo were nowhere to be seen as their 2-3 month recovery (my guess, no evidence to support this) is now almost 3 weeks under way. 34 Mike McIvor was also not visible and remains a man of mystery.

McIvor was injured when Walton crashed in to him last Friday.
Other than that it only seems like you’ve missed 2006 born Laird’s stats. 1-0-1 in 14 GP. See I can pick a guy to dump on too.

Rismond was re assigned to OJHL last week. Has previously played in Powassan. Both him and Wilson were also sent to the OJHL last season. Seems that development agreement with Powassan might have fizzled away again

Or the OJHL offers a higher level of competition than the NOJHL.

Rismond was not reassigned by the Battalion but was released. He is now a free agent and free to go play were he wants. He hasn't played in a month and was not going too. He'll jump on to another Major Jr club later this year or next. As for Powassan they have Zero affiliation with the Battalion.
