The OHL consists of 20 member teams, including 17 in the province of Ontario as well as three in the United States, with two in the state of Michigan and one in the state of Pennsylvania.

Why is Kyle Jackson retuning as an OA? Having just been drafted wouldnt he be headed for the A?

Why draft a player going into OA season if you aren’t going to sign him to AHL?

You draft a player to have exclusive rights to that player for a period of time. Same reason you draft any player.

Remember he's a late birthdate player, so he was only drafted one year after his draft year. Same thing happened to Jacob LeGuerrier in the Soo. He was a late birthday, got passed over his draft year, drafted in his D+1, and returned to the Soo unsigned for his overage year.

Not saying he is for sure playing in the OHL this year. He could still sign a contract. But don't act like these players never return to the OHL either.

He is a late birth, it was just his 2nd time eligible. A lot of first time eligible were passed over last year.
And why would a team not have him play an OA season knowing about the OA seasons that Goodrow, Brazeau, Coe, Russell had in NB?

Neither are spare parts imo, If you’re looking at players to move out for additions, I think it’s Bouchard, MacQueen-Spence, MacKenzie, Tarasevevich, Goudreau, maybe even Wakely. And Landry if willing to report to Kitchener or some other team. If I’m not mistaken there is interest in him from US schools and is on the NHL draft radar.

I think Romani will be the team’s top offensive player at 19 & OA season if still in the league. I think there is a chance he breaks out this season.
I like Podolioukh’s game. I think he can be the 4, 3, 2 centre for the next 3 seasons with Outwater & Sima for a couple of those.

Romani. He is just scratching the surface. Loads of potential.

I can see him working his way into the top 6 a month or two in but likely starts on the 3rd.
