The thing is though that he was as bad as people were saying, the criticism was wholly deserved. For almost a whole calendar year he was horrible. He could not find anything resembling consistency, not only game after game but shift by shift. He would look okay and then be swimming and flailing and totally lost. He was clearly struggling mentally and it went on for a long enough time that it not only was hurting us but he was on his way to bombing out of the league.

Good for him that he stepped up in a very tough spot when Shesty got hurt, got back to playing how he’s capable of playing and has got himself back on track.

I’d go the other way and try panarin with Chytil and either goat or Hunt. Maybe that would get the third line going. They need a puck carrier/distributor and Panarin is one of the best in the league

Fully agree. Jones so obviously belongs in the NHL. He better stick with the team.
