Might as well have played Moore...

Hindsight is 20/20. He was up there in pitchcount but he was still looking ok and he might have been in their head and could have gotten 3 more outs. Hard to do worse than the ****ing jokes they threw out instead. Some teams got 3 or 4 guys they can count on in the bullpen. You can't name 1 for the Giants that you can confidently thrown out there.

Bochy overmanaged the living **** out of the bullpen all season. I'm no expert, but it's not a great way to show any faith in your players or build their confidence. For a guy who's going to end up in the HOF, he certainly didn't look like a hall of fame manager this year.

So, Warriors became the 1st to blow a 3-1 series lead in the finals. Now the Giants with a choke job for the ages. We can't forget the Sharks' 3-0 choke job. Brutal.

Stupid bullpen changes by the manger has been the theme all postseason.

I'm sorry but you leave a guy in there when he's dealing, especially against a lineup like that.

That loss was pretty squarely on Bochy. Law had no business going into the 9th inning. A rookie in a pressure spot like that just isn't smart. Either stick with Moore, start with Romo, or start with Smith who had been their best reliever for a while. All that flip-flopping of pitchers just screamed desperation on Bochy's part.

I don't think it was a choke job, the Giants were very clearly the weakest team to make the postseason.

To be fair to the Giants, they weren't supposed to win this series, and they were down 0-2. What the Warriors did is easily the worst choke job in sports history. Compounded by the simple fact that they set the NBA record for wins. If they hadn't, it would not have been so legendary, because now the regular season wins record is meaningless.

they're the Giants though man...I was already planning on the parade.

It's a bummer, this team is special in the playoffs. If Bochy just leaves Moore in, I don't see him giving up 3 runs in any way.....It's not like they needed to save him either. Cueto has pitched like .150 against the Cubs...., they could have done it

Damn.

Warriors didn't choke, Curry did.

2016 has been a ****** year in Bay Area sports. Three playoff runs, all ending in excruciating fashion at home. Maybe '17 will be better, can't really be more heartbreaking.

The '04 Yankees are the holders of that title and will continue to for a long time - nothing else comes close, IMO. There were a lot of moving pieces in the NBA finals last year that led to the bad end result.

This may be true, that '04 choke by the Yankees killed legendary american baritone Robert Merrill. Not really but kinda really.

Luckily for the Giants they got some pieces to work with and some money freeing up to make some moves but they either need to put someone they have in the closer spot going forward or get someone in the free agent market.

Last night's loss is brutal. But really, what did we expect? The Giants' bullpen has been total garbage all season but particularly in the 2nd half. Anyone putting that loss of Bochy is foolish. Yes it's easy to say he should've left Moore in after seeing what happened. But at 120 pitches and 24 outs recorded, you've got to think your bullpen can muster up 3 outs with a 3 run lead. Any team that can't do that simply doesn't deserve to win the WS.

The team will have a very strong rotation coming back next season and the core of the lineup will remain intact. Time to say goodbye to Romo, Casilla, Lopez, Pagan, Peavy, and Blanco. Happy trails to all of them, but that money can be better spent elsewhere.

I agree the team doesn't deserve to win the WS but it is still Bochy's fault because he made the wrong choices when going to the bullpen. You can take Moore out of that game at that point but you either start with Smith or Romo and let it go. Playing the matchup game in the 9th didn't help anyone he chose and he picked wrong even in that scenario because Law as a rook in an elimination game save situation shouldn't be there. Lopez has been pretty crappy all year and shouldn't have been in there either. Going to Romo with runners on when not going to him to start the inning was already a signal of lack of faith. He went to Smith way too late in the situation. Yeah the pen has been pretty trash but it was still workable if the coach uses the pitchers appropriately. Boch didn't do that and it helped cost the team that game.

I agree that those guys all should be gone. They may need to chase after someone like Jansen or Melancon if possible or else they're going to have to take a shot on someone internally like Strickland or Law or maybe even Cain. Then they need to figure out what they want to do with Posey in regards to getting him out from behind the plate and what that is going to mean for everyone else.

Could also blame Sabean, possibly. They knew near the TDL that the bullpen had issues. How does the season play out if the Giants acquire Chapman instead of the Cubs doing so?

Kaep restructured and is playing, man he must really want out from under the yolk of Baalke/York. He is throwing away assured money for what I assume is to audition for other teams and get that Brock Osweiler money.

People keep ******** on Chip but I feel like hes a kid listening to parents yelling (Baalke/York)
