2025 salary & option for about $17 mill for Deebo is not guaranteed. But, all of the restructuring SF did will cost them when they cut him. He's a $31 mill Dead cap if they move off him. $9.6 mill left in SB and $16 mill from his 2024 salary restructure along with $5.4 in option bonus left to hit.
That's all been paid, so even if SF traded Deebo, they are eating that $31 mill.

So, when SF did those restructures in 23 and 24, fans got excited, but all SF did was push the cap charges into future years.
The one good thing about the NFL cap is that you can always restructure things to re-jigger things while in the NBA and NHL you have limited options as to what you can do after the contract has been signed (thank Gene Washington for being the worst player union rep in the history of sports for that), but sometimes you just have to eat your mistakes.

If they do a straight cut Post June designation, I believe, it's a $10.75 mill then $20 mill of dead money for 25 then 26 years.

Plus, per over the cap, it shows SF at $50 mill of cap space. So, they can use this for 2025. Odd that they converted most of Deebo's base this season into a bonus when they had that much cap space.

Rickey is a legend, I’d say the best ever Oakland Athletic, and a great ambassador for Oakland and the game of baseball.

He’s why 24 is my favorite number. I’ll miss seeing him around the Coliseum, and several communities will miss the impact his presence brought.

The most selfless guy to speak in the third person. Thank you Rickey.
