Mississippi State got really lucky with that call. He was given enough space to execute the fair catch, he just made a total mess of it. 6 points off the board for NC State.

Why chance it? I honestly think he's one of those Texas football kingpins who would be deprived of their biggest strengths in the NFL i.e. weird schemes and the ability to get the best talent by being able to cajole guys or if needed twist guys' arms.

The NFL head coach position requires a different skil set than the college head coach position.

Yeah I'm glad I decided to pass on going to the Belk Bowl. I didn't think NC State would win but I thought they could at least keep it close. That and watching it all while getting soaked, yeah I'll pass.

It isn't. Not with the way the SEC has been taking it to some of these teams.

Until recently he didn't get great talent. He coached up raw players and caters his system to his players strengths. Like any good coach does.

He put together recruiting classes at Baylor that don't make sense unless you keep in mind that Baylor has lots of rich boosters and Briles was a long-term and almost iconic high school coach. And of course everyone knows that high school recruiting in a place like Texas is almost as intense as college recruiting and probably less regulated even.

It's true his recruiting classes weren't *elite* until this year but before him Baylor usually was a bottom feeder in recruiting and he elevated them almost instantly. It's doubtful they'd be a top 10-15 team now if he hadn't been able to pull better talent from the get-go. He took them from a team that's usually somewhere between 100 and 60 in recruiting rankings to a team between 30 and 60. That's a big jump.

Like I said earlier, it's quite an accomplishment what Baylor has been able to do in the past 5 years. I had serious doubts after RG3 left that they would even be where they are today, at best I figured maybe a 7 win team for a couple of seasons. They were in the basement for so long in the Big12, and were constantly getting their ***** kicked by UT, A&M, and Tech, not to mention Oklahoma, Ok State, etc. that it seemed like they were destined to be behind those teams, regardless of who was coaching.

I thought UNC would have something to prove after giving Clemson all they could handle in the ACC Championship Game. And with Baylors injuries going into the game it only seemed more like UNC was going to win. But I was wrong, and props to Baylor for running all over the Tar Heels and for going from cellar dwellers to championship contenders in a span of 5 years.

Well he is a high school coaching icon since he managed to turn Stephensville into a power. He turned Houston around and now Baylor. He uses the Mike Leach method of filling his Q.C. and position assistant jobs to Texas high school coaches as well.

USC can't stop the run the entire drive, so once they get to the 15 they throw 3 times? Okay...

Really thought I would start caring, but its the day before but I just cant care for a playoff on NYE. Every 2/3 years too....

Even when they go it right swithcing to a playoff, they are only giving us something truly great every 1/3 years.

The Badgers are putting zero pressure on the USC passing game with player's just standing around thinking containment to no great purpose. Some of those linebackers might as well not be on the field.

Incompetent refereeing. He didn't step out, you didn't have a clean look at it... let the play run and go to review if needed. Idiot shouldn't get another game.
