So who had on their bingo card the Packers trading Aaron Rodgers and making the playoffs with Jordan Love?

Did not surprise me one bit. Love is legit and giving him time to sit behind Rodgers was significant for his development (just like Rodgers with Favre).
Well, if it didn't surprise you one bit, you'd be in the minority. Most of my family are die hard Packer fans. This team is the youngest in the NHL and even the most rose colored glasses Packer fans looked at this as a rebuilding year. And when the team was sitting at 3-6 half way through the season, pretty much everyone wrote them off.

Ehh, I've got plenty of dumb NFL predictions/opinions so probably just blind luck but I've been high on Jordan Love since he was drafted. Fans can be hard on their own team especially after letting a hall of fame QB go and coming off a poor season missing the playoffs. Most of my family are Vikings fans and they were more worried about the Packers than Lions within the division going into this season.

I think a lot of fans of opposing teams were trying to convince themselves Love would suck because of being jealous of Packers going from HoF QB to HoF QB to another potential franchise QB (as high as I am on Love, definitely not calling him a future HoFer lol). Packers fans have been ridiculously spoiled the last 3 decades lol and looks like it could continue another decade.

At least with Rodgers, he showed a lot of promise in that playoff game against the Cowboys when Favre got hurt. A lot of the Cowboys expressed how impressive they were and how they thought he was harder to play against than Favre.

Love hadn't shown anything worth being excited about (granted, not many chances to show it either). Rodgers was taking over a more veteran teams also where-as this Packer's team had something like 13 rookies.

I for one am very surprised to see the Packers as the youngest team in the NHL.

I'm more surprised they were able to make the playoffs.

I'd be more surprised if they could beat anyone wearing cleats.

I'm more surprised yet that Bettman allowed them to ice a roster so far above the cap and player limits. Their offenses would make TB blush.

They're also the first 9 win team to make the NHL playoffs.

Cowboys playoff game? Doesn't look like Rodgers attempted a pass in the playoffs until his 2nd year as full time starter...

Regardless I get what you're saying I just never read into such small sample sizes. Love had looked good in preseason, not great in tiny regular season sample sizes but I never let that influence my opinion of him. Needed to see a full regular season of him before letting my personal hype of him die, and he's done more than enough this year for me to stay on the hype train.

Sorry, it wasn't a playoff game. It was a game late in the season that was either MNF or Thursday, and both teams were 10-1 so they were fighting for the top seed. So it was primetime and thus I mistakenly thought it was playoff.

After the game, many of the Cowboys played commented about how Rodgers was harder to defend than Favre. That's the game I was talking about.
