Darnold played like ass. This is exactly why you dont pay him.

Dude stared down 2 wide open WRs in the EZ tonight.
Coaches weren't any better either. Terrible play calling. No adjustment to speak of

He basically spiked the ball into the turf as he was being tackled in the pocket. It was such a text book intentional grounding I almost spat my beer out when the ref started babbling
Right, and I know that the TV ref also said it was probably grounding, but I thought all that was nullified if there was a receiver in the area and Gibbs was right there (because he missed the block).

I don’t think Gibbs was remotely “in the area” given that Gibbs was already behind him when he releases the ball forward into his lineman’s feet.

I didn't understand that, because I swear Gibbs was right there.
Upon replay the ball hit an OL so never had a chance to get close to any eligible receiver.

Darnold with a bad game. Plus KOC didn’t compensate for him being off. Too much relying on Darnold in the goal to go situations.

The loss is doubly tough as their WC game is Monday, so in the event they do advance it’s a short week to potentially the bye week lions unless one of Washington or GB also pulls an upset. Not to mention the travel back home from a MNF time game.

Gibbs was behind who??? Surely you’re not saying he was behind Jared Goff. A person saying that clearly needs glasses:

Clearly see the ball about to hit the foot of the lineman and Gibbs is behind Goff. Not much to argue here unless you’re a packers fan still needing a welfare check 😂

You used the worst possible angle and it does not show any definitive proof that Gibbs is behind Goff. You also said when Goff released the ball, yet used a frame where the ball is basically on the ground already. I’d say stick to hockey takes, but I don’t want to overburden posters here. Maybe pick up soccer?
