Past results are not indicative of future performance

In the end, this is a home game for the Vikings, and I like their chances.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Minnesota gets boat raced or if GB loses by a field goal. Those seem to be the most likely outcomes IMO.

Can someone please explain to me how the Packers are 1 point favorites on the road against a 13-2 team that beat them in Lambeau already and has won 8 in a row??

Means literally nothing. GB is completely different than back then… steamrolling teams, including Seattle whom Minnesota barely beat. 30+ points in each of their last 5 games.

Amazing what a good kicker and a QB not playing on one leg can do for a team.

All the vikes have to do is stop Jacob’s , love is terrible and isn’t winning a game if they take away the run.

All the packers have to do is cover Jefferson and your fraudulent team will show their true colors.
Last time that happened, Addison went for 162yds and a TD, and the Vikes won.
Early in the season that might have been all you had to do, but Sam has improved and can spread the ball around more now as the season has progressed.

LOL OK, like the Texans who you beat by 2 and bears who you needed a blocked FG to win, we can play that game all day also. again Vikings 13-2 And won 8 straight and at home shouldnt be underdogs to a team they are 2 games better than in Standings and whom they have already beaten.

Jordan “got a DUI days after his teammate died from a drunk driver” Addison. f*** that guy.

The oddsmakers think your team is a fluke. Smart people think Love is a great QB that is finally healthy. Dumb people think he sucks and base their entire evaluation of him as a QB when he was playing on one leg.

Keep pearl clutching that Lambeau win in the first game back for Love though 👍

Not sure where you're looking, or if it has changed since yesterday, but Minnesota is currently -1.5 on Draft Kings.

Keep clutching those wins against Seahawks with no Geno most of the game or the Rams win with no Puka or Kupp or the Bears win where you needed a blocked FG. But hey a 13-2 Team is Fraudulent!! Vikings would have won by 20 Plus if it wasnt for that Fumble just before halftime

I wouldn't be surprised if people still had reservations about the Vikings. We haven't done to a lot of the lesser teams that we played (Jags, Titans, Colts) what Green Bay did to New Orleans.

Green Bay is a known "public" team coming off a dominant win, so I'm actually not too surprised that they started as favorites.

The Seahawks did better without Geno and Geno played more than half of the game.

The bears took your team to OT after a full send Minnesota sequence.
But Darnold is a Fraud?
Clearly. Hint: if he wasn’t, then the vikings would be looking to sign him to term. Your own fanbase and podcasters think he is a fraud.

If McCarthy didn't exist, sure.

Exactly. They trust a rookie who missed this entire season more than Darnold.
Or, they think it might be a reasonable path to lean on the rookie QB contract while using the rest of the $78M in space to shape the rest of the roster. That's probably 3 new $10-$15M players along with bringing back 4-5 of the more important current FA's.

I'm not saying it's 100% what I would do, but I also can't say it's wrong thing to do. They did like McCarthy enough to take him 10th, so it's not like they weren't planning relying on him/trusting him in the near future anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised if they let Darnold go. I wouldn't be surprised if they tagged him for a year. And I wouldn't be surprised if they traded McCarthy for the 4th or 5th overall pick and signed Darnold mid/long term.

Only thing that would surprise me a little would be signing Darnold for 3-5 years AND keeping McCarthy.

Wanting to take advantage of a rookie deal on what the head coach has already claimed is a franchise quarterback doesn't mean Darnold is a fraud

Or, they think it might be a reasonable path to lean on the rookie QB contract while using the rest of the $78M in space to shape the rest of the roster. That's probably 3 new $10-$15M players along with bringing back 3-4 of the more important current FA's.

I'm not saying it's 100% what I would do, but I also can't say it's wrong thing to do. They did like McCarthy enough to take him 10th, so it's not like they weren't planning relying on him/trusting him in the near future anyway.

So Darnold wouldn’t be worth the money when it could be spent elsewhere. Why wouldn’t he be worth the money if he led his team to a 13-2 record? Could it be because the QB isn’t the one bringing wins, but rather all of the pieces around him? Do you think these other teams would do the same if they had McCarthy? Darnold’s stats are better than Josh Allen’s stats. Do you think Buffalo would get rid of Josh Allen to spend money elsewhere and start McCarthy?

It 100% does.
