They've gone 5-2 in that stretch of meh football. Seems pretty contender-ish to me. The four best teams in the NFC are Detroit, Philadelphia, Minnesota and Green Bay. Strong chance two of these teams will be in the NFC championship game.

Truthfully, the bears are not as bad as their record. Could have tied Detroit late. Could have beat Minnesota in OT. Could have beat GB with a field goal. Could have beat Washington without a hail marry touchdown.

Look at the Chiefs record and results. They are what happens when everything is going your way instead of against you.
