I agree but unfortunately they do not have a time machine to go back and fix the original cock up. So all they can really do is have a meeting afterwards. The team is pathetic, but there isn't anything they can do now to make it better.

It's the intent that saved Noesen though, he was playing the puck and didn't really have anywhere else to go so he braces himself. I think his only other options were, allow Tage to have the puck uncontested, attempt to shift away or duck under or exactly what he did, brace himself for the impact.

Again, I disagree with the non suspension, but understand the reasoning behind Clifton getting suspended and Noesen not getting one.

The difference between the Noesen on Thompson head pick and the Clifton head pick posted earlier is that Clifton's only involvement in the play was to deliver a hit, which he mistimed.

Noesen had just played the puck, and was on a collision course with Thomspon, so some contact was unavoidable.

But Noesen taking that opportunity to step up and into a head pick of Thompson, and follow through with the arm/elbow was absolutely avoidable and unnecessary.

Noesen chose to turn what should have been a harmless collision into a predatory head pick.
