He stated that he isn't ready for retirement and wants to play for a few more seasons. No teams want this guy even as a #7D?

For one he's 40 and also there's still quite a few RFA's that aren't signed yet, so teams are still making their way through free agents, rfa's, and also dealing with vacation because you know, these blokes do tend to have these after their 82+ game grind. He stated that he isn't ready for retirement and wants to play for a few more seasons. no but Chiara is willing.I’d rather have Chris Chelios
Is he still available?
He can still provide solid minutes but he can't play every game anymore
The hold up is the fact he is washed.Has he publicly states he’s ok with being a 7/8D? That may be a holdup.
He has mentioned he has a few knees left to throw. Perhaps a team in need of that will pick him up.
Five years can make a huge difference. On 10/1/75 heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali defeated Joe Frazier in a thrilling fight. On 10/2/80 Muhammad Ali was a punching bag for heavyweight champion Larry Holmes.Lots of snarky “he’s 40” responses but not a lot of substance in this thread. Guy is a former Norris winner and captain (plus his Norris was 5 years ago, not 15) if he’s willing to take $800k and play 60% of games there’s not much of a compelling argument for why you wouldn’t take him in your lockerroom and let him be a #7. He’ll end up somewhere.

Wouldn't mind him at vet min on the Rangers to be 7D or rotate on the 3LD position with Zac Jones
