I won't get too excited yet. As I said, this is October. October hockey is often a tease.
Totally agree, but what we have has hope ingrained vs meh 5'9 stop gap d's. 6'4, 6'4, 6'3, 5'11 for our youngins.

Not saying we win a cup because of them but I could see all 4 on long term contracts and believe we'll be pleased with it. (Though we could win a cup with them). Gotta surround Hutson and I'd see a skilled big partner with him that can play and protect him. He have that now and these are no Tinordi.

It's fun to have hope, i'm not saying this is caviar, but we do have meat and gravy!

That was a fun game. Lots of turnovers by both teams helped with that. :laugh: Surprised by how much Blues turned the puck over. Our guys got in there and used their speed to pressure them, so that helped hurry things up in Blues end.

Good to see our kids doing so well. Love, love them all. :handclap:

Goal Caufield x 2! Slafkovsky! Dvo with natural hatty. The kids on D & Savard, who was excellent tonight.

Allen played really well in 3rd period when Blues pushed.

The two teams went 8+ minutes without a whistle in 3rd. 80s pond hockey.

Love it, baby! :banana::banana::banana:

Dach looked really good on the wing tonight with CC and Suzuki. If that's where he ends up I have no problem with it. That line could theoretically be a force. With Dach's size and speed with his natural playmaker abilty with those two fits great imo. I know he was traded for with the intentions of grooming at center but we have actual depth there, and still have Beck in the future.

That's the most Dvo hattrick I've ever seen: A tip, a pass bank-in, and an empty netter.

Not complaining, just hilarious.

All in all, what a dumpster fire of a game.

- Cole and Nick running show yet again.
- Our PP (finally) coming to life and giving me heart attacks all at the same time with 5 forwards.
- Slafkovsky with an absolute cannon one T. Didn't know he had that in him to be honest.
- The sheer amount of turnovers and missed chances by St. Louis. We scored 7 goals but we easily could have given up 8-9 if they finish their chances.

One thing I didn't like was Marty throwing the regular 3rd/4th lines out there for the PP after the lost coach's challenge. I get that we're up 3, but the game was nowhere near "over" at that point. Lo and behold, a bad call on Nick and a brutal turnover by Guhle later and it's 6-4 with the Blues absolutely assaulting us. Could have been a turning point in the game if some of their chances go in.

Unwritten rules are bullshit. Play to win until the game is done, and deal with the consequences if people cry about it after.
