Hopefully the jays took out insurance on Yates. What a waste of money for them

Good thing the Jays didn’t break the bank for Bauer I guess

Depending how they determine it, he should be fine. Like... if they just compare spin rate gains over last year, he's fine since the baseline they're comparing it to already involved Bauer cheating.

Man, just brutal news regarding Yates. It was a high risk acquisition though so I guess we should not be all that surprised.

We probably have enough bullpen depth to manage, but I think we need to bring in another comparable late inning reliever.

Or......

Alek Manoah a la Roberto Osuna in 2015?

I thought it was supposed to be a Jays broadcast today. I swear buck and pat said they were working the Wednesday game during the last broadcast.

Because his career high in innings pitched is so low, I'd much rather patch up the bullpen elsewhere and try to get 150 innings out of Manoah in AA.
I hear you, but he could be a lights out closer

Michael Kay kind of looks like Curt Schilling. At least without the potential (hopefully) to say or do something that causes a huge uproar.

I see Thornton has gotten rid of that big leg raise before his pitch. Did he just start that this season or did he start last year at some point?

He barely pitched last year, but I seem to recall him still doing it then. So I think it's new.

That's kind of too bad. I like crazy exaggerated windups. I wanted him to go full Dontrelle Willis and just be a giant pile of flailing limbs.
