Matz starting today

Lineup is

Springer
Semien
Bichette
Hernandez
Tellez
Gurriel jr
Biggio
Grichuk
Jansen

What are the Blue Jays going to do with 4 starting outfielders? Grichuck is the least talented, but his contract is too high for trading?

Here are baseball's Top 10 farm systems

1. Tampa
2. Detroit
3. Seattle
4. Miami
5. Baltimore
6. San Diego
7. Jays
8. Pittsburgh
9. Arizona
10. KC

Call me homer but id keep my Jays pool over SD, Baltimore, and Miami. Tampa is clearly better and Seattle is too. Im torn on Detroit but they have a case. I like Pittsburgh too, i might have them above the Jays, they will definitaely be higher when they add one of Rocker, Leiter or Lawler.

Speaking of Rocker;

Rocker fans 14 in another dominant outing

On a somewhat similar note, I was surprised to see Torkelson rated as the third best prospect in MLB. Is he that good? I thought he and Martin were close at the draft. Martin will have the positional advantage too.

The Tigers top 5 is pretty ridiculous, I'd be confident that they'd be destined for great things if they were any other team in the league. Imagine how good they could have been if the return for their big pieces wasn't Franklin Perez, Daz Cameron, Dawel Lugo, and Jake Rogers.

Is Kirk making the team? He has to no? He’s been the best catcher. I’d rather him then Jansen to be honest. Is he able to call games well enough
Likely only if they trade Reese. We will need to make some moves. Too many bats on the team really.

Kirk should make the team. He's ready now with the bat, and given his unique physique we don't know how long his body will hold up into his career. Best to use those bullets to help the big team rather than waste them in the minors.

Ruben Amauro Jr doing studio analysis for the Phillies says what's important are "fundamentals and good, solid fundamentals."

It's almost like I'm listening to Buck. Nice and familiar

And the broadcasters have lost the plot already.

Biggio flies out

"that was Randal Grichuk"

At least we got through a whole inning first.

I think Kirk pretty much has to make it at this point, even if it means you have to DFA McGuire.

broadcasters are gushing over our lineup but they seem all to be lost in their own personal worlds. have the time they ask a question the other 2 arent paying attention
