Wow i'm shocked that Q signed for so very little, Thought maybe 1 year $2 million but 1 year $1.25 million good signing by the Devils.
There must have been no market for him to take a $3 million dollar haircut on a 1 year deal with a team no where near ready to contend for anything

The season starts in 2 weeks, and nobody wanted him, at this point you get what you can get to be playing in the NHL.

Just thought that he might've gotten closer to $2 million then the $1.25 million that he signed for that's all. It's a great signing by New Jersey.

NJ won't be as far away as most people think if they can put the puck in the net at a better clip. If they are middle of the road in GF they COULD get 7th or 8th spot.
Great signing. Q is worth twice that.

Nah, rather they just compete for a playoff spot and not worry about their draft pick.
Don't know much about Quincey - maybe some Detroit fans can comment on what type of game he plays and why the Red Wings didn't want him back. They at least thought enough of him 2 years ago to give him a 2 year $8.5MM deal, so this is quite a drop in salary.
