I knew this was going to be a loss, so I'm glad I took my gf to brunch instead. It fulfilled 5 out of the 7 things that heavily factor into a loss for us.

That one works every time.

Why the F was it Shore-Clifford-Lewis on the ice with 2:00 to go??
Kopitar played his best game last game, and has been great with Lucic,
so DS moves Lucic to Carter's line and Pearson up to Kopi's? Why?
Kopi playing his best of late and he gets Brown and Pearson?

Gravel looking good.

None of the lines were doing much in the 1st period. That Lewis line got the best chances in the 3rd period. Almost scored twice. They were the ones getting into the tough area in front of the net consistently.

The lack of OT wins last year was one of the bigger factors in the Kings missing the playoffs. Take out the points for winning in OT or the SO this year:

Anaheim, 24-19-11, 59 points
Los Angeles, 23-19-13, 59 points
San Jose, 23-20-11, 57 points

That 8-1 OT record, along with a couple SO wins, is keeping the Kings ahead right now.

We make losing to backup an artform. I thought Kopitar was interfered with off the faceoff right before they scored.Seen that penalty called plenty of times. And Lewis, again just has no luck around the net. I thought they looked tired at times, especially Lucic and Kopitar. When Kopitar gets knocked off the puck by Gionta, it's not good.

I am happy/glad this game is over.
Not gonna sugar quote. Devils (and the Wild) playing their game (play not to lose, win on PPs) could be the cure insomnia...

Didn't do enough offensively - way too much searching for the perfect play.
McNabb&Schenn were passing black holes.
Can't question the effort level of our boys. They did do better as expected (by me) in the 3rd.
For the Devils I thought Andy Greene was the only one standing out... The rest of that team was content to dump the puck...
Did you just say sugar quote?
