Conor Garland
Nils Hoglander


NJ gets their Franchise goalie to go along with J.Hughes/Hischier/L.Hughes as a core. Garland and Hoglander bring good 5v5 play and grit to the forward group. Vancouver gets to restock its prospect pool with a top 10 pick and Smith. Zacha would be a good fit at 3C behind Pettersson/Horvat. Blackwood under Ian Clark can become a solid starter.

Just an absolute joke of a proposal for the Canucks. You wouldn't even get Demko alone for that.

Demko is the foundation of that Canucks team. He is an all star goaltender that you build on top of.

He hasn't been as good under Boudreau.

I don't think both coaches have handled him right so far this season.

Canucks traded a similar 1st round pick for Conor Garland; Ty Smith for Nils Hoglander is somewhat close even though Vancouver doesn't need another LHD.

Essentially you think Pavel Zacha & Mackenzie Blackwood = Thatcher Demko?

Demko's the kind of goalie that can singlehandedly steal a playoff series, which makes him untouchable.
