Solid strategy though having the 5th worst team in the league sell off its top 2 prospects for immediate help halfway through the season. I see you've really thought this through.

Now I do agree with you that Montreal should keep him but his work ethic is 1000 times better than it ever was during his first 5 years in the league

Maybe he is having a good year. I don’t follow him but he has built a reputation that he is lazy and gives inconsistent effort or lack of effort unlike a player like Gallagher who has a reputation that he gives his all every single shift
