Love him as a player and he is exactly what the Devils need, but I cannot see him agreeing to a deal with the Devils that would make sense for the Devils long term. If the Devils traded what it would take, plus the QO he has, he would be very difficult for the Devils to deal with from a contract perspective because he holds all the leverage.Makes sense, and I can absolutely understand why that would be their stance. I just wonder if it wavers if a player the calibre of Tkachuk, at 24 years old, changes that tune or not. Fits in age wise with the core you've drafted imo.
I just do not see it as something that is realistic at this point.
