The graphics look pretty sweet but I was feeling kind of meh on the games they were announcing. My hot take is that I never liked Mario Kart, or any racing game really. They can be fun with a group of friends at a party but that's maybe once a year for me at most at this point. I've just never played a racing game that had enough depth in its single player mode to justify playing more than like an hour or two of.
But then when they got to the third party games I was like
Oh shit, Tony Hawk 3 and 4!
Oh shit, Hitman!
OH SHIT 007!
So that turned it around for me. The DK game could be hit or miss, like most DK games, so I'm cautious about that.
I've learned that I really don't have it in me to get invested in any new franchises and basically just lean on the old tried and true ones (Mario, Zelda, GTA, Assassin's Creed, etc.), so of course the nostalgia ones get me hyped. At first I thought that that vampire looking game was going to be Castlevania, but remembered that's not Nintendo IP. The Imprisoning War TOTK prequel deal isn't even developed by Nintendo so it will probably suck.
