I don’t think he is a bad defensive player at all. His problem is he has two or three screw ups at the worst time! I think he’s a lot better player this year than last year.

I think he’s better, but he’s still just an interchangeable third pairing guy.

Sadly, he's never going to live up to either his draft status or the trade value paid for him. I was surprised when Nill brought him back, but I also don’t think he’s going to be a Star beyond this season when either Bichsel or a trade deadline acquisition takes his job. He’s probably also not going to stick in the NHL long term unless he finds a team where he can work his way onto the power play.
