  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I rest my case your honor. No cup wins in a decade, four head coaches, past round 2 once, team further away at any point since Dave Lewis. Time for a new vision for the next incarnation of the Bruins
Kinda built a team with the greatest regular season ever - the coach F’d up (I can’t wait to see who here is ready kiss Monty’s ass. Freakin losers)

2019 the players blew it starting with Pasta off Ice & Marchand on

2020 Covid

So give me who your hiring - I want names

Zhadorov could be a bonafide All-Star with his skillset. He has all the tools to be a top-pairing, lock-down defenseman in this league. He is a better skater and has better edges and balance than Chara. He doesn't seem to have Chara's offensive ceiling or IQ, but he has a good release form from the point and a bomb of a clapper when he gets into it. In his puck extraction game, he appears to be on the lazy side.

I have watched him have a space advantage over forecheckers countless times. He could take two hard strides toward the puck and have a second before the pressure gets to him, but he chooses to attempt to use his length and girth instead of hustle and is then forced to decide without space, which no one at any level of hockey is as good at.

He could own this league if he would play with a bit more urgency in ALL situations. But he doesn't. More often than not, compete level is a DNA thing; some guys have it, and others don't.

He is still more than serviceable and adequate in his role, but he could be a 1A in the league if he did not rely on being bigger and stronger in every situation. I don't mind the penalty minutes for being bigger and stronger, but he could avoid so much of the contact that causes those PIMs if he would put a little booige in his butt when the opportunity shows itself.
He does have great edges but I see no lack of effort in his game. It's hard to take you as an expert on Zadorov when you can't spell his name. The "h" was no typo --too far away from the "a" or "z".

Um no

0.0 experience as a GM

He went to BC Whoopie so did my wife

He would get slaughtered in this market
He has the same background as Sweeney did when he took over and that worked well for a long time. Only GM to win a Cup in 53 years for this team came from outside the organization. Time to do it again, They are stale.

I'd be trying to pluck someone out of one of the successful organizations like Darche out of TB? Rumors were that he was already interviewing for GM jobs.

Hard to find fault in an organization with back to back cup wins, seems to get a big name players to sign, has hit on multiple trades, and has moved on from not only good situations at the right time like Stamkos but also made the most out of bad situations like trading Drouin for Sergachev.

If they're bringing in someone, I want someone outside of the organization.

It doesn’t matter Sweeney isn’t going anywhere right now

They are ripping the band aid off this team - kinda painful but necessary

One month of ass and will all be over and will have a top 10 pick

They will add two elite defenders & likely there former captain who the players miss

The should be in good shape and retool

The one problem is a biggie is Swayman

They probably need to move him - they got back Lauko his best friend to give him someone but he’s a mess

This place has eaten up a lot of goalies since Pete Peeters to Casey, Lacher, Cary etc.

He brought this on himself and there’s more then meets the eye / no reporter will touch it

Hes a good kid so maybe 6 months off starting April 16 helps

Spelling was never my strong suit. :) I am so thankful you weren't my English teacher in high school, or I would still be roaming those halls. I tend to often lean on phonetic spelling, but when it comes to names, I should be more careful. It's just respectful to get names right. I think the rogue 'H' in question, with which you have executed my character assassination, came from thinking Zhamnov. Thank you for your feedback. I WILL do better!

I shouldn't have been so dickish about it but I completely disagree on the assumption about his effort. He's gotta move a 250pd body around the ice --while playing top-pairing minutes and being our most physical player by a mile-- and we're questioning his effort??

Not his effort, more like his urgency specifically on puck retrieval. He allows forecheckers to close the gap when he has superior position and relies on his hulking frame to body players off. He could take a hard stride or two to maintain that gap instead of using the shielding approach and give himself that fraction of a second with the puck so he can take that one last peek for the right lane, but it's a tough instinct to fight since he has probably been the biggest and strongest all his career and it works, even in the NHL most of the time.. but his percentage of success would go up in my humble opinion if he could increase hhis urgency in that area.

He does a similar thing on the breakout. He waits as long as he can for the forechecker to close before making the pass. Does this all the time. It’s like his brain can’t process making a play until he’s under pressure. He’s been like this since he broke into the league.

Zadorovs problem is slow processing of what he's seeing on the ice. His physical attributes are top notch, obviously. He's often a fraction of time late on a pass, a shot, a gap. I believe he is probably one of the better leaders in that locker room right now. Not a great contract, but how many contracts inany of the major sports age well when give to a guy approaching or at 30 or older.

I beleive the B's thought they were much closer to being competetive(as did we all), or they would not have signed Z or E Lindholm.
